I have twenty space marines with bolters. Three more that can count as Sergeants, two with meltas, one with a flamer, and a fourth with a ML. The fifth also has a ML, but I can't exchange his weapon or the guy with the flamer (swine AoBR).

I have an extra model to make a commander.
I also have some IG vets that would be convincing scouts.
I also have a dozen or so terminators with varying loadouts I could change with relative ease.
I also have many bitz to work with for converting/making my own heavy weapons.

I am not going to buy any new vehicles or troops.

I'd like to use Vulcan because he seems pretty hard to kill and TLs melta and flames. However, these guys are going to be footslogging (no possible way to change that). And meltas/flames are short range schtuff.

Which leads me to Kantor. He makes Sternguard scoring (whee small model count!) and I love his stormbolter. But mainly the sternguard thing.

If neither of those will work, I will resort to Belial and turn my termies into troops and use an out of date codex I can't find the online PDF for.

Looking at 750-1000 points here. What are my options? I know I'm asking a lot, etc etc Thanks for the help either way.

General strategy for both is to combat squad the Tacs, moving the four new squads around. Sarge has the beacon so he'll head to the armor or biggest thing I can find and call in the terms. Stern sit on home objective if there is one but otherwise take a supporting role.

And that's the ball game. Stuck. Should I go with a thunderfire? Big weakness is armor at range. Or, well, anything at range. Beyond 24" I can't touch. I'll work on a list with Belial at the head while I catch up on Spartacus.

Not a problem. I hate to be "that guy" and tell you to reread my original post that says I'm not buying anything more, be it vehicles or otherwise, and that this would be a footslogging list, but I stated that multiple times.

I'm looking for ways to make the best damn list with the models I have. If it means I get bent over every game, fine. Cool. Whatever. I like modeling more than anything else this hobby has to begin with, and I'm of the mind that revels in the number of people taken down with me such that a loss means little after the handshake.

Moving on, for reiterating purposes, this is a footslogging list. I'd love to slap three or four Razorbacks and a Landraider into the list. But I can't. So they will walk across no man's land.

Also, here's a Belial list. And a Calgar list. What are everyone's thoughts on these various commanders/lists? I can swing all of them, it really comes down to people's experiences with the commanders and what may be wrong with the list.. Two Pedro lists are above ^

If you want to make sloggers you'll need numbers.

Have you considred Shrike as HQ? he will give Fleet to everybody and you'll love to run in a footslogging army.
