WSJ or NYT?

So my mother got me a Literati. She got it from Marshalls or Ross... I forget which store. Original price was $199... she got it for $50.

Any way I'm not too into eReading as much as I was used to but I thought I'd give it a whirl. So I'm thinking maybe I'll use it for periodicals. It uses the Kobo store for its purchases. Of what was available the only ones that I'm considering are the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. I wished the Economist was available since I hear that's supposed to be a pretty good magazine.

So what would you pick? WSJ or NYT? I haven't read a newspaper in a while and that was when I was in the Bay Area. I'm not experienced with either paper. I'm wondering if WSJ might be to business based and NYT a little too focused on the East Coast since its based out of NY.

oh and come see my P&M Blog: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/376487.page

BTW I do have the kindle app on my iPhone which does have the Economist but I don't like using my iPhone to read plus I wanted to make use of mom's present.
