				<description><![CDATA[ Here is my finalized <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(493);'>DoA</span> list:<br /> <br /> <u><b>Blood Angels - 2000</b></u><br /> The Sanguinor<br /> Librarian - Unleash Rage, Shield of Sanguinius<br /> 5 Honor Guard - 4 Meltaguns, Jump Packs<br /> 5 Honor Guard - 4 Meltaguns, Jump Packs<br /> Sanguinary Priest - Jump Pack<br /> 10 Assault Marines - 2 Meltaguns, Sergeant with Power Fist, Jump Packs<br /> 10 Assault Marines - 2 Meltaguns, Sergeant with Power Fist, Jump Packs<br /> 10 Assault Marines - 2 Meltaguns, Sergeant with Power Fist, Jump Packs<br /> 10 Assault Marines - 2 Meltaguns, Sergeant with Power Fist, Jump Packs<br /> 5 Vanguard Veterans - Sergeant with Power Fist, Jump Packs<br /> Total - 2000<br /> <br /> I believe it combines everything I like. I've got my beatstick <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>, plenty of Meltas for swatting enemy vehicles, and masses of Power Armor. <br /> <br /> The only other (slightly more competitive) change I see is to drop the Sanguinor and one Meltagun per Honor Guard squad in favor of a 2nd Librarian and a 2nd Vanguard Veteran squad. I think I'm going to leave the list as it is though. <br /> <br /> Thoughts? <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ You could drop The Sanguinor, add a 2nd Librarian, and add 2 Priest with Jump Packs.  The reason I like this is if you are going to deep Strike your army, you run the risk of units coming in with now <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span>.  Also one of the biggest things the Sanquinor does is buff units close.  If he is not on the board then you are losing his buffs.<br /> <br /> Now if you are going to start with everything on the board, then that is a different story.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yes but go back to my comment about coming in piece mail.  If that unit does not come in then your assault squads have no priest.  At least with 2 extra Priest, you can make sure 3 of your 4 squads have a priest when they land.  Also that is another squad that can benefit from having a Librarian attached.<br /> <br /> Just something to think about.]]></description>

I may be throwing a bit of my local meta into my reasoning here, but I don't believe they're worth the price tag. Ideally, they'll tie up an enemy heavy weapons team. In my area, that means a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Dev</span> squad here and there. If I don't <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> them, I've waited the points I spent on them (as opposed to normal Assault Marines). I'm really not going to drop them in against foot Orks or Nids. With all that said, at the end of the day, they could simply scatter out of assault range entirely and they lack Meltaguns. <br /> <br /> While I <i>really</i> like the Sanguinor, I have a very hard time justifying his cost. He's 275 points for T4 and only 3 wounds. Shame really. Plus, I don't believe I'll require his +1 attack or the Sergeant blessing with Unleash Rage and all the extra Marines his price tag buys running around.<br /> <br /> 5 points remaining. I could swap the 4 Plasmagun Honor Guard for 4 more Meltaguns and add the 4th Meltagun to the 2nd squad. I thought the Plasma could be really useful though. Thoughts?]]></description>

I still want him in the list, but I think 400 points on characters is a bit much. 				<description><![CDATA[ New list is spot on, but some Vanguard would be sweet. Reason is having that ability to assault something after deep strike is great and reduces a threat one way or another next turn for when you get shot to pieces. Just mix up the wargear on them so say a hammer, power weap and couple of melta bombs. ]]></description>

Three full squads suffice even in objective based games. Then you can split the units to get up to 6 scoring units. Another reason is that <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(682);'>AM</span> are rather mediocre in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span>. There are better choices out there like Sang Guard or Vanguard which can eventually charge upon arrival.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Well Assault Marines are meant to be fighting, fi they're fighting they will be taking wounds wihch means those units will become depleted and destroyed over time so they won't score objectives. You combat squad them and you're weakening the unit on foot. With a Priest Assault Marines rape arse in combat especially with a power weap and flamers before assaulting <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0"> . Plus it's also fair to say thay Sanguinary Guard cannot charge when arriving via deep strike, you need Dante to do that. Only Vanguard can assault after deep striking in the true sense. ]]></description>

I think 8 Plasmaguns and 8 Meltaguns will be a nice mix. I only have two Priests, but they can't be singled out in combat and aren't in squads that will be looking to get into combat. I'd rather put those same 75-150 points into other units. Locally, I face a lot of high strength / low <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> weapons. Plus, that means I have a couple less easy <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(316);'>KPs</span>. <br /> <br /> General plan is the Honor Guard devastate just about anything. With their 12" range, that gives me a bit more room for maneuverability when I opt to use <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(493);'>DoA</span>. Assault Squads can combat squad or not depending on my opponent and the mission. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(671);'>VVs</span> will probably always be kept in Reserve and used to tie up enemy heavy weapons teams / whatnot. Librarians buff the army.<br /> <br /> My first batch of Assault Marines should arrive Wednesday and the modeling will commence. <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0"> Thoughts?]]></description>
