Necromunda weathered terrain

THe local game group is taking a trip down memory lane with a Necromunda league. Many of the players were not around for the original necromunda, and I happen to have acquired some extra bulkheads over the years so I decided to make some additional terrain for the FLGS and so the newbs can have a taste of what the original terrain was like.

Here is the first mostly finished terrain piece. Comments and critiques on the weathering are welcome ... some places look a little rough so if some experienced weatherers want to share some tips I'd be glad to hear them.

And finally a shot next to another piece of un weathered terrain to show the extent of the changes.

Looking good, maybe drybrush some Tin Bitz on some of the edges, especially ladder rungs.
Next ones you do,I would use some wire and put it along a wall or floor or two.
Also bendy straws make great airducts/conduits

Re:Necromunda weathered terrain

Thanks for the reply! I usually do add some more bits, but these are meant to be left in the game store ... I'm trying to limit things that will break and need to be repaired. I'm thinking of some ground clutter that won't break off like discarded and torn posters, etc, that can be ground into the surface, and maybe a little water effect for some puddles of standing water. I suppose some wires along the walls and against the floor near the walls probably wouldn't get too roughed up and would probably be safe though. Thanks for the suggestions! I was thinking about adding some exposed metal, and tin bits would really fit in with the green and the rust.

Necromunda weathered terrain

This is really quite impressive - Looks great.

Ive been experimenting with weathering powders for terrain - and I think they can make a really good rust effects. (if your interested, my gallery is here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/gallery-search.jsp?dq=&paintjoblow=0&paintjobhigh=10&coolnesslow=0&coolnesshigh=10&auction=0&skip=30&ll=3&s=tb&sort1=5&sort2=0&u=14062&g=2719)

As you mention posters, the ones I used were grabbed from the internet and simply printed off. If you check this warseer thread:
http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138549

Great stuff
