Just thought I'd share my progress in the hope to get some further ideas and tips on how to improve my painting (only been painting for 3 weeks or so, so be nice ) I do use the Dipping Method as well, but not sure if this is the way to go? I actually quite like the dirty look of the tank. It looks like it spent the last few weeks in a warzone. Wouldn't know how to de-dirty it though. Maybe a drybrush of Ultramine Blue to take the edge off it? Also you need to do your dreads base!
They look grim dark and amazing. Better than my dipped tau.

You successive layers of dry brushing, slowly dry brushing more paint towards the edges of the models, using 2 lighter coats.

Here's an example of a model I did like this:

I took a base coat of green, put a TON of badab black on it, then drybrushed it all over with goblin green, then a final drybrush around the edges with scorpion green.

Very light layers of drybrushing mind you, so they added up to form a smooth coat. I purchased a Scout Squad, all made ready for priming


I Also started work on Basing my Dread, Nothing flash yet


I also have a Magnetized Dev Squad in the works, took me for ever to get all the magnets in, but it was fun and led to a great result for my first time.
