				<title>Dark.Age anyone?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I have been looking for a new game lately and have come across a game called "Dark.Age" <br /> <br /> Having a bit of a break from <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40K</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(258);'>atm</span>. Still painting but not playing many games lately.<br /> <br /> I quite like the look of the models and if it has a good set rules and background I think I would like to give it ago.<br /> <br /> I loved Necromunda in the past and this looks kind of similar.<br /> <br /> Just wondering if anyone has played/playing this system and how it rates.<br /> <br /> Any feedback at all would be greatly appreciated.<br /> <br /> Ty  <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<title>Dark.Age anyone?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I have yet to actually play a game myself, but it is really catching on at my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(211);'>LGS</span>.  That being said, we have a robust skirmish level game playing community at the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(211);'>LGS</span>.<br /> <br /> In the last week, I had the opportunity to  read the rules and the equivalent of the "army book," though it has it's own name, and I've watched a couple of games.  The game has some similarities to Warmachine, but there are enough differences that it feels like a totally different game.  It is <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(341);'>d20</span> based for all rolls, so there is a wider potential for variation.  There are rules for both critical failures and critical successes on most tests.  It is a game system of alternating unit activation, rather than I-go-you-go; rolling for initiative each turn can be important.  The games seem to go by relatively quickly at the preferred level, which is 500-750 points.<br /> <br /> I liked it enough that I plan on buying a force later this month when I get my bonus check in.  The armies are small enough that you can get an entire playable force for around $100.00 USD, which is much cheaper than <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> games and still a good bit cheaper than Warmachine.<br /> <br /> So, if there are some peopel in your area that play, I say give it a try.]]></description>

				<title>Dark.Age anyone?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Waiting on models here myself.  Our local <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(38);'>FLGS</span> Strategies will be stocking it in the new year.  A friend picked up the rules and really like the gaming style.  As an old <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(687);'>AD</span>&D player, been about 10-15 years since, I like the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(341);'>D20</span> concept.  Curious to see how it pans out. The artwork is amazing and the steampunk feel is really cool though.  Would prefer Necromunda be brought back but until that time, this has my attention. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Okay that ticks all the box's for me going to order some now.<br /> <br /> Got a few friends that I play with and $100 is great for an army start up.<br /> <br /> Was going to update my Necron's but I haven't been to happy with the way <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> has gone this year in particular.<br /> <br /> Yeah I wish they would bring Necromunda back in a big way and support it, they sure would get a bunch of my cash again.<br /> <br /> That game was just the best thing they ever did and had so much more room to grow and develop.<br /> <br /> Thanks everyone for posting and giving me some good feedback.<br /> <br /> Will post in the future about my thoughts on the game.<br /> <br />  <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0"> ]]></description>

				<title>Dark.Age anyone?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I just picked up the Forcelist book yesterday evening and started reading it.  I'd actually have to describe the fluff as more of a post-apocalyptic science fiction than steam punk.<br /> <br /> The feel of the fluff is quite dark and gritty.  There are a few characters that seem to be heroic, but they are balanced out by completely self serving, arrogant bastards.<br /> <br /> For people who might be used to Warmachine, a big difference is how easily almost everything dies.  Heck, the phrase "Everything Dies" appears to be completely thematic.  I admit that I'm still a couple of weeks away from having enough cash to buy a force for myself, but I've watched a number of games play out.  So far, very few seem to end with more than a small number of models remaining, which gives a different feel from some other skirmish games.  To me, it feels like the game remains in the balance for a long time.  Additionally, there doesn't seem to be any way to have a one-turn, combination win like you can find in Warmachine.<br /> <br /> So far, I'm enjoying what I see.<br /> <br /> OH!!! Realy important (maybe).  When you're reading the books, there are A LOT of editing issues.  Usually not anything huge as far as rules are considered, but there are spacing, tabbing and paragraphing errors that might seem to be a bit confusing.  Don't hold that against the game, though.  I chalk it up to the foibles of running a small business that's trying to market a game system.]]></description>

				<title>Dark.Age anyone?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I believe there are rules for campaign play, but I haven't actually bought the main rule book yet.  I just bought the Forcelists book and read through it.  I need to re-read it though, 'cuz it's a lot of info.<br /> <br /> I did get to watch an interesting game yesterday where literally every model was dead at the end of the game.  It was a laugher.  This tend to die with alarming regularity; the few models that grant increased survivability to other models are disproportionately powerful, more so than you might think at first glance.]]></description>
