Warhammer Forge Newsletter #17

Noticed something new on Forge World's site. He comes in at 65 GBP.

Lord of the Black Fortress, Master of the Legion of Azgorh, potent warrior and mighty Sorcerer-Prophet of Hashut, Drazhoath the Ashen leads his war host from the fore mounted upon the fell Bale Taurus Cinderbreath.

Drazhoath the Ashen on Cinderbreath, designed by Steve Whitehead, is a breathtakingly detailed full resin model, and a unique special character for the Legion of Azgorh army list published in Tamurkhan: The Throne of Chaos.

In addition, Drazhoath can also be used as a ‘normal’ Daemonsmith mounted on a Bale Taurus.

Drazhoath the Ashen on Cinderbreath is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing 28th November.

And here's the newsletter!

Warhammer Forge wrote:Hi there,
This week’s newsletter sees a mighty Chaos Dwarf special character unleashed upon the Warhammer world, the dark lord Drazhoath the Ashen on Cinderbreath. In addition to this amazingly detailed model, we’ve also got an update to our Rhinox Cavalry rules for you to download, a video interview with Alan Bligh about Tamurkhan: The Throne of Chaos and confirmation of our ordering deadlines for pre-Christmas delivery.

Drazhoath the Ashen on Cinderbreath
Drazhoarth the AshenLord of the Black Fortress, Master of the Legion of Azgorh, potent warrior and mighty Sorcerer-Prophet of Hashut, Drazhoath the Ashen leads his war host from the fore mounted upon the fell Bale Taurus Cinderbreath.
Drazhoath’s power is great indeed, and there are few sorcerers now in the service of Hashut who can match his arcane might or knowledge in the creation of war machines or daemon-binding. Yet for all his power Drazhoath is effectively an exile, sent to the Black Fortress after losing favour in the brutal politics of Zharr-Naggrund.

Now however with rumours of a monstrous horde rising in the east, and dark visions of the coming of Tamurkhan smouldering in the embers of sacrificial altars, Drazhoath lays his plans with cold and malefic intent.

Forge World Events News
IPMS Scale ModelWorld: The International Centre, Telford, 12th – 13th November 2011
Forge World are even now making the journey to Telford’s International Centre for the IPMS Scale ModelWorld 2011 show. If you have placed a reservation for this event, you’ll already have received a confirmation e-mail containing your order number, which you must bring with you in order to collect your order.
See you in Telford!

Christmas Order Deadlines
It’s getting to that time of year again. The nights are drawing in, shop windows are filling with tinsel and baubles, and here at Forge World we are busily processing orders and shipping kits so that they’ll reach you in time for Christmas.
As always the Customer Service team are standing by to assist with any and all enquiries you may have - from product availability and hobby advice to helping to explain the difference between a Titan and a Dreadnought to a confused relative. We can be reached on 0115 916 8177 within the UK, 011 44 115 916 8177 from the US and Canada, and 00 44 115 916 8177 from much of Europe.

It’s always best to place your order early to avoid disappointment, and with this in mind these are our last order dates for pre-Christmas delivery. As always, these dates are subject to change and stock availability so if in doubt, call us.

Standard Delivery:
Thursday 1st December – Australasia, Asia, Far East (including Japan), Africa, the Caribbean, South & Central America, APO addresses and static BFPOs
Monday 5th December – Eastern Europe, USA and Canada
Thursday 8th December – Western Europe
Tuesday 13th December – UK and Operational BFPOs

Express Delivery:
Tuesday 13th December – Worldwide
Thursday 15th December - UK

Thanks,
Ead Brown
Customer Service Manager
Forge World

The Rhinox rules and video interview are not up yet, but I'll keep looking for them.

I haven't played fantasy in years, so excuse the ignorance, but didn't the chaos dwarf sorcerer bodies turn to stone slowly over the ages? I read the newsletter saying he was a sorcerer, but the fig doesn't look like its got stone legs.

Am I just Hung up on old stories or did this get retconned?
