I've been playing for a couple months now, and I really like the game. It plays much faster than 40k and is more engaging imo, due to players taking turns activating units, rather than moving everything at once. Really cheap to get into, and they have a decent rate of releasing new toys. They are, but personally I think it works as it is, even in the large scale. Part of what keeps the game moving as quickly as it does is the grids as there is no measuring, or individual model movement in the case of squads. Ya he was pretty happy hes the owner of the local Hobby store here and wanted me to do the very basics of painting them using only beginner techniques ..
