I have little experience with list making but decided to have a go at it to see what came of it.
Eh... Imma little iffy on all of it.

1.) For this low of points, you should not take Ghazy, it's bad enough that he is in one of the lists, but in both? That simply won't do... I would replace him in the second list with a regular warboss, or another big mek with KFF.

2.) On the second list, choose either a trukk list, or another green tide type list, not both. As it stands right now, those trukks are going to get popped very quickly becuz there is only 2 of them (even if you have KFF in range). Then, those small mobs of 12, are quickly going to get murdered, and run away. So either on your second list, go with a more speed freaks style (which is what i would suggest) or make it a green tide.

3.) If you do take Gazzy, you do not want him marching across the field! He is way to slow for that! Give him something (Perferribly a BW) to ride in!

4.) On the first list, again, drop gazzy, this seems to be a Kan wall list, so i would suggest maybe taking a SAG Big Mek, or a Warboss.

5.) Where are those Nobz with Pks?????? Those always need to be in your squads! no matter how big or small!

I wouldn't include him in any list less than 1750 points. Also, in this list where is he? Walking with the Boyz... and thus slowing them all down to his "Slow and Purposeful" speed? He's going to hinder more than help if you use him this way.

The Shoota Boyz need Nobz w/ PKs and Bosspoles. I don't think you've accounted for that in your point cost.

I've had some success with Dreads with 2 Rokkits. But an extra CCW and 1 Rokkit? 2 Rokkits at least give you a decent chance to get a hit. Only 1 means likely it's not doing anything.

I'd use Kannons instead of Lobbas, but that's just me.

Use the same equipment on all the Kanz. In a 1000 point list, Big Shootas might be good, but Rokkits or Grotzookas are better.

Nob 'ead wrote:
List Two

HQ

Ghazghull Thraka- 225

Troops

Shoota Boyz x30- 180

Shoota Boyzs x30 with BS- 185

Slugga Boyz x12 with Trukk- 107

Slugga Boyz x12 with Trukk- 107

Fast Attack

Deffkopta with RL- 45

Deffkopta with RL- 45

Deffkopta with RL- 45

Heavy Support

Kannonz x3- 60

Total Points: 999

Many thanks for any feedback.

Ghazz - See above. In this list, you COULD put him in a Trukk which might help the mobility issue, but he's still too expensive for 1000 pts.

Shoota Boyz - Again, you need Nobz w/ PK and Bosspole

You've got a 50% Footslogging and 50% Trukk army here, which probably won't do you very good. The enemy will focus fire and kill your Trukks and Boyz on turn 1 and 2. That leaves your enemy free to focus all his firing on your footslogging Boyz turn 2 and 3 before they get to him. I'd ditch both Trukks and add another mob of Boyz. Combined with some Buggies (see below) and a KFF Mek / Warboss to replace Ghazzy from above, you've got a nice list.

For the Deffkoptas, if all you want is a twin-linked Rokkit Launcher, a Buggy is just as fast, harder to kill, and cheaper than a Deffkopta.

I like the Kannons supporting the Boyz. Really cheap for 60 points, and pretty deadly.

Two 1000 point Ork lists to compare

I personbly like the first list better. I do however think Ghazzy is to many points like others have said. I also agree that rokkits on the dreads are really not worth the points. I like to keep themn cheap with 2x Bshootas. I might take out one of them to get more kans though. They are the best. Give them all Rokkits and they are a very formidable unit for AT. Plus you add more walkers and thus providing more cover for your boys. I also don't think you need 40 boys in 1k. I would drop those squads to 15 add Nobs like suggested and drop the rokkits for BShootas. Rokkits in Shoota squadare not the greatest idea IMHO. With rokkits you want to go tank hunting. Well that means all the shootas are wasted. Giving them BShootas make them a pure AI unit. I alos Like the Kannons better for support then the Lobbas. I play a Kan wall so I am biased of course. ANyways good luck!

Cheers!
