Can Arihman take thousand sons without an aspiring sorceror?

Hi everyone,

One issue with thousand sons is that the aspiring sorceror is so expensive. So, my question, can we take Arihman, with a retinue of thousand sons and then skip not having an aspiring sorceror? I mean, this guy is 250 points, and he is the one that created the rubric space marines. So, does he counts as being an aspiring sorceror himself?

Its already so hard to use thousand sons, So its really wierd that their leader cannot be placed in a unit of thousand sons without having to add yet another aspiring sorceror.
