Eldar

In reworking my eldar, I decided to convert the models from plastics, mostly eldar guardians. Each model in the army will be unique.

For my interpretation of banshees, in form the inspiration is hoplites, incorporating a crest, spear and cloak. I decided that a shield would make the banshees appear more heavily armored and slower than they are in-game.

The coloration and free handing is inspired by mayan codices; it is mostly the dull color of weathered paper, but punctuated by vibrant colors. Complimenting the parchment color is a weathered copper. The free hand takes after mayan iconography that is comprised of runes that fit into squares balanced with larger scenes and depictions.

This is the first banshee, it is nearly done:

For an animated 360˚ Gif:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B75Ex73GfpbeMzliNGQ0ODItOTZkOC00MTA2LTg3N2MtMDQyZGYyMDEyYWRi
