Leman Russ variants for me.

My first WH40k tank was a Leman Russ Demolisher. It was in the early 2000s, so it was one of the ones with metal parts.

Time has... not treated it well. I wasn't nearly as good at assembling or painting models when I got it. I also sold it to my younger brother, alongside my other IG stuff at the time, to help pay for some Space Marine stuff, before buying it back along with the rest of his IG stuff, last year. My initial poor craftsmanship - which involved gluing the turret on amongst other things - alongside multiple thick, heavy coats of paint over the years... Well, it's not a model I'd field in public.

Since I started getting back into Imperial Guard, I've gotten two Leman Russ Battle Tanks - the older ones, which I got several years ago - two Leman Russ Demolishers, two Leman Russ Exterminators, and a Leman Russ Executioner. The latter five are all from the newer kits. The Executioner has some issues, like its hull and sponson weapons being glued in place, resulting from it being my first of the newer Leman Russ kits. I didn't make that mistake with the other four.

I also have in my possession, that first Demolisher I mentioned, as well as at least two other Battle Tanks, which are honestly in poor condition - including weapons having been cut off and not replaced with other weapons, and I think one has a missing turret.

I think I like the Leman Russ for its wide variety of loadouts in part. I change my lists around a lot, so being able to swap out weapons while retaining the feel of the tank is a major plus for me. Another part is its aesthetics. It just looks nice, in its own way.
