This does sort of miss the point that the Holocaust was a result of anti-Semitism.

Stalin's purges weren't the result of anti-communism or anti-Russianism. True enough, though Stalin's purges were absolutely the result of pro-Stalinism.

Still though, my argument is that its odd that we focus so much on the Holocaust as an untouchable tragedy (and, really, slavery as well) while using other tragedies as comedic or political fodder.
