				<description><![CDATA[ Played Shaun last night, he's using his Space Wolves and fine tuning them for a upcoming tournament (one run by myself). I am using the Red Fleas again. The Long Fangs will be annoying as well, either the frags will score plenty of wounds or mass kraks will cut down some units. The Terminators along with Grimnar I can handle, they will come down in the Drop Pod and I'll then make my move and send double Assault Squads onto them.<br /> <br /> <b>Deployment</b><br /> <br /> I win the roll off and go first. I deploy all three units of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Devs</span> together in a large ruin, two on the upper floor and one on the first floor, I also deploy Scouts in the same ruin, on the ground floor. Assault Marines deploy outside the building in a semi circle from 9-6 position, melta units at the front and using a tower ruin for cover. I also combat squad a melta unit and have one squad with nothing and the other with double meltas and a power fist. <br /> <br /> Shaun deploys both units of Long Fangs in a large ruin oppoosite my Assault Marines and hangs back with his trio of Rhinos and Predator. <br /> <br /> Objectives had been placed all in the centre, one in the large ruin on the left, tower in the centre and shrine on the right. <br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314204_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314205_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314206_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314207_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <i>* Tactical Notes<br /> <br /> Ok, Shaun has kept his tanks back for the time been, though my missiles should reach them if needed, though kraks won't be firing at the tanks. Instead I'll torrent a Long Fang unit with krak missiles and move up with my Assault Marines. Once the Assault Marines are close I'll assault the Long Fangs and then melta the vehicles, missiles can support on the vehicles if needed. </i><br />   <br /> <b>Turn 1 </b><br />   <br /> I start moving my horde of red Marines towards the Long Fangs, I use the tower ruin for cover where possible. Scouts move through cover and head towards the objective on my left. The naked combat squad moves towards a small ruin by my table edge, they will take cover there and jump out to get the objective in the centre near the end of the game. <br />   <br /> Shooting; I run my Angels, try and get cover for most of them using the tower ruin and units to block each other. Krak missiles torrent a unit of Long Fangs, only four left who fail morale and fall back 12" - nearly off the table! <br />   <br /> Shaun's first turn, the Drop Pod arrives right by the centre objective and the Wolf Guard bail out along with Grimnar. <br />   <br /> Long Fangs regroup and move back through terrain using the ruin to block <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span> best they can. Tanks move forward 6" to get into range for next turn. <br />   <br /> Shooting; I cast shield with both Librarians, Njal stops both powers. Long Fangs fire at a unit of melta Marines and leave 8 left. The Wolf Guard and Grimnar fire into the naked combat squad and leave a single Marine left, he passes morale. <br />   <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314208_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314209_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <i>* Tactical Notes<br /> <br /> Not a too bad first turn, though I was hoping to wipe out the Long Fangs more or less. I guess they did fall back so cannot fire this turn, and I should be able to assault them all been well. <br /> <br /> I will move two flamer units to assault the Wolf Guard while the Honour Guard will probably suicide and quad melta Njal's Rhino. I will send a supporting melta unit to help them, while the depleted melta unit will be forced to assault the Long Fangs on the ground level of the building, this at least will set them up to attack the Long Fangs with the single Wolf Guard in terminator armour.</i><br /> <br /> <b>Turn 2</b><br /> <br /> Scouts move through the ruin and end up on the first floor, getting close to the objective. Honour Guard and a melta unit bound towards two Rhinos, one is carrying Njal. Depleted melta unit moves to the edge of the ruin ready to blast the Long Fangs. Two flamer units bound back ready to attack the Wolf Guard and Grimnar while the single Marine moves into terrain which blocks <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span> to him.<br /> <br /> Shooting; Devastators unleash krak missiles at the full strength Long Fang unit, I think they kill one. Melta unit blasts the other Long Fangs and three are now left - they pass morale. Honour Guard makes Njal's Rhino go boom, some Grey Hunters die in the blast also - squad passes morale test. Supporting melta Assault Squad for the Honour Guard blast the exposed Grey Hunters and kill another Space Wolf. Both flamer units unleash bolt pistols and quad flamers onto Grimnar and his Terminators, one Terminator dies and Grimnar takes a wound. <br /> <br /> In assault, the melta unit charges through cover and kills the remaining Long Fangs. Honour Guard charge the Grey Hunters and Njal, they lose combat and are destroyed. Both flamer Assault Squads charge Grimnar, both Librarians get off unleash rage without any problems - Grimnar and the Terminators are ripped to pieces before they even get to attack, both squads consolidate 3".<br /> <br /> Shaun rolls for reserves and the Wolf Scouts fail to arrive.<br /> <br /> Space Wolves second turn, one Rhino moves to claim the shrine objective while Njal's unit moves back a little bit to provide some support. The other Rhino remains static along with the Predator.<br /> <br /> Shooting; I cast shield with one Librarian and Njal fails to stop it. Plasma and combi melta fire the melta unit which was supporting the Honour Guard, two left and they pass morale. Long Fangs drop frags on the clumped up Assault Marines and kill a few Blood Angels. Njal casts jaws of the world wolf and living lightning, I fail to block him with both Librarians, though I lose no Marines after armour saves and initiative tests.<br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314210_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314211_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314212_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <i>* Tactical Notes<br /> <br /> That was a quick turn! Things have also gone my way this turn too, Grimnar and Terminators are all dead so I haven't got to worry about them and a unit of Long Fangs are destroyed and also Njal and Grey Hunters are exposed ready to be assaulted. I've got all the pieces in place, a melta unit to assault the other Long Fangs while two flamer units assault Njal and the remaining two Marines from the other melta unit will attack the Rhino which hasn't moved.<br /> <br /> Next turn the Devastators will blast the Drop Pod as at the moment it contests the centre objective, they will also soften up the Long Fangs ready for when the melta unit assaults. Both flamer units will shoot and assault Njal and Grey Hunters while the two Marines will blast the Rhino right in front of them - if they fail then the Sgt has a power fist anyway.</i><br /> <br /> <b>Turn 3</b><br /> <br /> Flamer units bound forward, one is definitely out of range and the other is touch and go. Melta unit moves through terrain and some Assault Marines climb the first floor so now on the same floor as the Long Fangs. Scouts move through cover and now claim the left side objective.<br /> <br /> Shooting; Devastators blast the Long Fangs and kill the Wolf Guard - no more wolf claw, nice <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">. Other two units blast the Drop Pod, best they can do is weapon destroyed. Flamer units both fire at Njal's unit and cut them down - unit passes morale. The two melta Marines blast the Rhino and it explodes, Space Wolves take some serious damage and pass morale and pinning tests.<br /> <br /> In asault a single flamer unit charges Njal and the Grey Hunters, combat is a draw though only a single Space Wolf remains (one with mark of the wulfren) and Njal is dead. The two melta Marines charge the Grey Hunters and die. Melta Assault Squad charges the Long Fangs, only two Long Fangs left and they pass morale.<br /> <br /> Shaun rolls for reserves and the Wolf Scouts arrive on his left side, my right <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(17);'>btw</span>. <br /> <br /> Shaun moves the Grey Hunters out the previously exploded Rhino get ready to assault and support the surviving solo Grey Hunter.<br /> <br /> Not shooting, everything is in assault or cannot draw <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span>.<br /> <br /> In assault the wulfren-hunter dies and not many Grey Hunters remain either, though I only have the Priest and Librarian left. Long Fangs are wiped out, the melta unit consolidates 4" towards the Predator.<br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314213_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314216_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <i>* Tactical Notes <br />   <br /> It's all going well so far. The Long Fangs are now dead and Njal is toast as well, a Grey Hunter unit is also down and I am hoping the other one will go down next turn. Shame I didn't take out the Drop Pod, though I've got several turns to go where I can take it out. <br />   <br /> Plan is to move the melta unit which just killed the Long Fangs towards the Predator and destroy the main anti Marine unit. I haven't got many Angels in combat at the moment (Librarian and Priest) so I'll have to send the other flamer unit to back them up and leave the Scouts and other Grey Hunter unit for the time been. </i><br />   <br /> <b>Turn 4</b> <br />   <br /> Melta Assault Marines bound over to the Predator ready to slag it while the flamer unit moves up to support the Librarian and Priest already locked in combat. <br />   <br /> Shooting; meltas miss the Predator! Mass krak missiles fire at the Drop Pod and finally it is wrecked. <br />   <br /> In assault the Grey Hunters are wiped out before they even attack and the Predator explodes thanks to mass krak grenades auto hitting. <br />   <br /> Shaun's turn, he moves the Wolf Scouts and the Rhino towards the right objective, though only the Grey Hunters in the objective are within 3" at the moment. <br />   <br /> No shooting or assaulting from Shaun, he cannot see anything! <br />   <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314219_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314218_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <i>* Tactical Notes<br /> <br /> A good turn this one, polished off the Grey Hunters in assault and tackled the Predator. Only threats now at the Wolf Scouts and Grey Hunters packing melta and lets face it they are not going to kill a lot. If I can kill the Wolf Scouts and contest the objective I should have the game in the bag if it ends turn 5.<br /> <br /> My plan next turn is to move the single Marine out from terrain to claim the centre objective. Melta unit will bounce down the hill ready to assault the Rhino, they cannot shoot as cannot draw <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span>. I will have the Librarian and Priest join the remaining flamer unit so form a massive super unit - they will charge the Scouts and whoopy-t some.</i><br /> <br /> <b>Turn 5</b><br /> <br /> Melta unit bounces down the hill and lands 2" away from the Rhino. Librarian and Priest join the last flamer unit, so I now have both Librarians and Priests in each unit - this unit bounds over the shrine ruin and lands right by the Scouts.<br /> <br /> No shooting for me, snipers and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Devs</span> cannot draw <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span> and I want the super flamer unit to charge.<br /> <br /> In assault the melta unit charges and wrecks the Rhino - squad passes pinning test. Wolf Scouts get whoop assed by the Blood Angels.<br /> <br /> Space Wolves move away from the Angels and blast with bolters, they don't do much damage. <br /> <br /> We roll for game and it ends at this point. Blood Angels score a win with one objective.<br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314219_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/1/9/314220_md-.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <b>Summary</b><br /> <br /> Another fine outing for the Red Fleas. I think I have a lot of people by surprise how fast these guys can move, they are in assault by turn 2 most times and when they do make assault they whoop ass. Even Terminators go down before them, though with some nice fire support first <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0">.<br /> <br /> I think Shaun's problem today was his list. The two special characters and double Wolf Guard just sucked up too many points. About half of his list has gone into those units. I think if Shaun gets some more long range fire power i.e Typhoons this once his Long Fangs have gone he still has some fire support. Then add in more Rhinos for vehicle saturation and Marine numbers. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Few mistakes by your friend I think.<br /> Nigh on suicide dropping that pod where he did. Not sure what the idea there was.<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(71);'>Imho</span> he should have sat on that hill and peppered your advancing forces used the Rhinos as blockers and Logan et al as counter attackers. His Fangs and Rhinos were too far forward. The more time and space between him and the jump packers the better.<br /> <br /> Did he tailor the list at all or know it was Red Fleas in advance? If so why 3ML/3LC split in the Fangs. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> pred too?<br /> <br /> Dont <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(124);'>SW</span> scouts get to come on in the enemy deployment zone? I would have done that and made a run for the left hand obj (your left) late game for a tie. At that point you had very few forces in the vicinity - infact none bar the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>devs</span>.<br /> <br /> Good rep as always.<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I agree with your mistake assessment. All Rhinos should have held back and the Drop Pod drop in between them, or castle up near the objective and drop down there. <br /> <br /> There was some talior involved I guess, as he said he was expecting me to bring Necrons and that's why he took melta etc. <br /> <br /> Wolf Scouts can come in more or less where they like, though if he would have come in on my left then he wouldn't have had much cover and I would have fragged/kraked him to death along with sniper fire. <br /> <br /> Thanks about the report <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">]]></description>
