I think simple green or any other knock offs work the best. I just re-painted some FW's with about 12 layers of paint on them and they tured out great. I didn't even use simple green, i used a knock off i found at target called green works. First it is highly toxic and CAN NOT be disposed of down the drain. It MUST be taken to a hazardous waste disposal site.

Second, it is highly toxic to people. It's a neurotoxin that can be absorbed through the skin or inhaled.

There are so many other ways that work just as well and are actually, I don't know, safe! So please, don't use brake fluid. Purple Power, Simple Green, Castrol Super Clean.
