whats the best way to strip models?

Iknow you got a nice tutorial up there, but i'm just going to add my opionon on which one will work the best.

I think simple green or any other knock offs work the best. I just re-painted some FW's with about 12 layers of paint on them and they tured out great. I didn't even use simple green, i used a knock off i found at target called green works. Soaked the models for about a day and scrubbed them pretty good and most of the paint came off.

I've found industrial alcohol (95% ethanol) to be the most effective way to strip plastic minis, you seldom need to wait more than a couple of minutes for it to do the trick either. It supposedly melts resin though...

whats the best way to strip models?

Not sure if this works for all fluids of this type, but I use Dot 4, it's a brake and clutch fluid. If you have a toothbrush in hand, you can completely strip a model in 3-4 hours without damaging its surface or the glue giving. It's great, did it yesterday

whats the best way to strip models?

The problems with Brake Fluid are too numerous to mention. But let's try!

First it is highly toxic and CAN NOT be disposed of down the drain. It MUST be taken to a hazardous waste disposal site.

Second, it is highly toxic to people. It's a neurotoxin that can be absorbed through the skin or inhaled.

There are so many other ways that work just as well and are actually, I don't know, safe! So please, don't use brake fluid. Purple Power, Simple Green, Castrol Super Clean. Any of these are a better and safer choice!
