				<description><![CDATA[ How do everyone!<br /> <br /> Me and my mate have just returned to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(146);'>WH40K</span> after a 6 year absence.  can anyone refresh my rusty cognitave banks?<br /> <br /> I have the following questions<br /> <br /> 1.    Can a unit not in combat shoot at a unit that is in combat already?  or would this endanger their unit and not be allowed?<br /> <br /> 2.   If a defending model in Base 2 base contact with 2 attacking models how amny retaliation attacks does it get?<br /> <br /> 3.   if part of a squad is in combat can those not in combat shoot or is the whole squad classed as being in combat even if they cannot attack?<br /> <br /> many thanks and WAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ 1. You cannot shoot into combat - although blast markers may scatter into it accidently.<br /> 2. No idea what retaliation is, 3rd ed rule is it? Dosent exist in 5th.<br /> 3. The whole squad counts as being in combat, therefore the unengaged cannot shoot.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Harro, and welcome back!<br /> <br /> Units that are part of an assault cannot be targeted, though blasts and templates might still scatter onto them.<br /> <br /> There are no defending models anymore; units that have been assaulted strike at their initiative with the attacks granted by their profile. This may mean they do not get to attack at all!<br /> <br /> Combat happens something like this now:<br /> <br /> The attacking unit makes its combat move - if its first charging model can reach base to base, the rest of the charging models move into base to base with as many of your models as they can, while maintaining coherency and normal movement rules. Then, defenders react; the charged unit moves as many models as <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(484);'>IT</span> can into base to base.<br /> <br /> Then everyone dances.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Firstly, not to sound like I am telling you off, but this does not belong here. This section is for posting, viewing, and comenting on rules people have made up. Ie, I made rules for Horus, I put them here and people talk about how rubbish it is <img src="/s/i/a/39ea8e0dbfb45dcc6b802cd0e198dba3.gif" border="0"><br /> <br /> No, as for your questuions, seems like they have already been answered but I will repaet some points.<br /> <br /> !-Models cannot be shot at or shoot themselves if any models are in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span><br /> <br /> 2-Models strike in Int order. No retaliation.<br /> <br /> Example-<br /> <br /> <br /> Space Squad with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> Sgt with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(105);'>PF</span> (Int 1 for haviong a Power Fist), and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(388);'>SMs</span>, (Int 4), are assasulted by a Boys Mob with 10 Boys and a Nob.<br /> <br /> The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(388);'>SMs</span>( Int 4) Strike First, but are simultaneous with the Nob ( Who's Int 3 is boosted to 4 because he charged and has Furious Charge). This means, that even if you resolve all of the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> attacks first, the Nob will get to attack even if killed. The Boys are Int 3, so any killed by the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(388);'>SMs</span> will not attack. The Boys make their attacks. The Sgt has a Power Fist, so is Int 1, and if he dies before he attacks, he won't attack.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> What I would advise is get the rulebook, spend a summer learning it, and repeat for the next 4 years unitll a new edition comes out :(. 				<description><![CDATA[ Yes, each turn has an assault phase and in each turn there is a fight.<br /> <br /> s for Big Choppas, yes. Weapons are 1 handed, unless told otherwise. This simply means that if armed with 2 single handed weapons or any type (you could have a Force Weapon and Witchblade), and gain +1 attack. a 2 handed weapon, however, prohibits thisd additional attack, regardess of wargear, and I can only use that weapon./<br /> <br /> Example. A model is armed with a Big Choppa and 2 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PK</span> (They cannot exist, but for example). He can use his Big Choppa, getting the attacks noted on his profile but with the bonus from the Big Choppa. Or he could use his <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PK</span>, gaining the bonus granted by power klaws, and +1 attack.<br /> <br /> <br /> Guns are not affected. A model could be armed with a billion guns, and he would be allowed to use them. However, please remeber that most models, can opnly fire 1 gun, with exceptions.
