Here it is.

points -100 AV 12-12-10 type, vehicle It would have 2 venom cannons, can hold 20 gaunts or 1 carnifex.

My thinking more troops would survive and add a little bit fire power. What are your thoughts about it and a name for it.

Re:New Tryanid unit

That's really cool the thing I would change is that give it a 4+ or a 3+ save because 5+ save will not go very far and a ld of 8. Also I would make it a psyker. It would have 2 powers the 1st would be any unit that is in 12 inches gets the special rule furious charge. Then for the 2 power it would be ones per game it can increase synapse to all unites so every thing will be fearless. With those upgrades you will have to increase the points to 130 points or something like that.

New Tryanid unit

It's not that bad of an idea. [EDIT: Darn you DeathReaper, you beat me to it! ]

how about:

Tyranid Hive Womb - The Tyranid organism designated the Hive Womb is a relatively new organism. The Womb is essentially a large, armed, and heavily armored slug-like creature. Imperial xenobiologists have come to the conclusion that this may be a hybrid creature, bred from both Tervigon and Mawloc strains to swiftly transport creatures to their destination with minimal casualties. This is abnormal, as Tyranids have, until now, simply not cared about casualties, instead using overwhelming force to achieve their goals.

Regardless, this new organism has had a devastating effect in battle; the sight of such a monster bursting from the ground, then releasing dozens of leaping, swarming creatures spewing out of its gaping, slime-filled mouth is more than enough to cause panic throughout the battlefield.

Hive Womb- 115 points
WS:3 BS:0 S:5 T:8 W:5 I:2 A:3 Ld:10

UNIT TYPE: Monstrous Creature
WARGEAR: Bonded Exoskelton, Claws and Teeth
SPECIAL RULES: Synapse Creature, Psyker, Shadow in the Warp, Deep Strike, Eruption, Disgorge, Transport Creature, Dominion

TRANSPORT CREATURE: The Hive Womb is massive, even when compared to a Mawloc. The Hive Womb may not transport any Tyranid creature that has wings or the ability to burrow underground (through the deep strike special rule or otherwise). The Hive Womb may transport up to 15 models. Monstrous Creatures count as three models. The Hive Womb counts as a vehicle for the purposes for embarking and disembarking models into and out of it.

ERUPTION: A Hive Womb surfacing is no subtle occurrence. Rather, it is the exact opposite; there is a rumbling, a blood-curdling roar, and then earth breaks and is flung into the sky, taking any unfortunate enough to be standing there with it.

Place a Large Blast Marker over where you want the Hive Womb to surface. All models completely underneath the Large Blast Marker must take an Initiative test. If they are successful, they must move so that they are not underneath the Large Blast Marker (they must retain unit coherency). If the test is failed, the unit must move so that they are outside of the Marker and are immediately pinned. If they roll a 6, they are instantly flung into the sky and are immediately killed with no saving throws allowed. Skimmers have Initiative 5 for the purposes of this rule, and Flyers are not affected by this rule.

DISGORGE: After the Hive Womb erupts form the ground, it settles in place, opening its massive maw towards the sky and squeezing its frenzied cargo out by means of powerful muscles that line the "throat" of the beast. However, the Hive Womb must stay in place while it releases its cargo, and larger creatures, such as Carnifexes, may take a while longer to fully disgorge.

If more than one Monstrous Creature is being transported, only one may disembark per player turn, but they must continually disembark until the Hive Womb is empty, regardless of which player's turn it is. If there is a combination of units, all non-Monstrous Creatures and one Monstrous Creature may disembark at the same time, as if disembarking from a vehicle. Any other Monstrous Creatures are disembarked following the above method.

In addition, the Hive Womb must remain in stationary once it has surface until the next owning players turn, unless it has not finished disgorging its cargo.

What do you think? I whipped it up in about 25 minutes.

I like the concept, but make it BS3 or even BS2, It shouldn't be some sort of sniper unit.

Personally I'd desine more like a vehicle. So yeah, it has a 3+ and T8 with five wounds, but it ain't moving until everything is out of it. It can't deploy a unit, go back underground, then come up and deploy somewhere else, it has to stay there until everything is out of it. I should probably raise the points a bit, though.

I'd give it a lower toughness (maybe T5 or 6) and some kind of unorthodox rule that lets it absorb damage by consuming some of its passengers.

"If the creature is reduced to zero wounds it may attempt to recover by digesting some of its passengers. Roll a d6. On a 2+ the creature recovers one wound and a number of passengers equal to the roll are removed from play. On a result of a 6 the creature recovers 2 wounds and 6 passengers are removed. On a result of 1 no wounds are recovered and the passengers are automatically pinned in the spot where the creature dies."

Or else a similar rule where the thing can digest passengers to give itself feel no pain or a cover save or something.

So the models embarked aren't safe and snug like Marines in a Land Raider but they're protected from getting boltered and flamed to death as they move across the table.
