				<description><![CDATA[ I think <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> will get this one.<br /> -<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> are the bane of necrons the way i see it: lances beat necron's AV13- poison beats necron's tougher units (praetorians  and the two <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> here)- nightvision beats cryptec's pulse- <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> vehicle speed beats necron speed- <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> outrange Necrons. <br /> -If the scenario was anihilation things would be better given that <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> have much more <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(316);'>KP</span> here, but at capture and control and the Necron's having slower and less troops (if  not for that extra warriors) the Necrons are in a tough spot.<br /> <br /> note: i think with the errata Anrakyr cannot use his special ability on board the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(547);'>CCB</span> (not 100% sure about that though)]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Ya, I think <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> have a real edge in a lot of circumstances. Necrons have to find theirs still. I think it would take a very focused and lean list to beat this one, and when I look at the necron list I can't really visualize a plan.]]></description>

Then, I pull my venoms and ravager back. The Destroyer Lord and his Praets and the scarabs are closing in on my corner. Barge and trap and kill Anakyr. They hop out of the crater of their raider, leaving the Haem behind, but taking the Pain Token. The Trublasters move *into* the crater, and join the haem. I forgot to have the wyches run to surround it. In the shooting phase I went straight to the lances and promptly blow it up anyway. Well, the 'surrounding' thing didn't matter, but was still sloppy on my part. Anrakyr takes a wound in the explosion while two wyches in the white unit die and another in the purple group.<br /> <img src="http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i142/erekose42/Jmartins%20necron%20batrep/IMG_0318.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The venom unloads a whopping buncha shots into the immortals in center table. Which, at the end of the Phase, my opponent rolls this for ResProtos:<br />  <img src="http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i142/erekose42/Jmartins%20necron%20batrep/IMG_0316.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> Nice.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Other shooting has the ravager and the other two Trublaster crews open up on the Anni-Barge. That's nine lances. He dies ... but gets back up due to Ever-Living. And in a tourney, I think I would have insisted that he didn't make the 3 inches from where he stood, plus I consolidated in such a way, trying to get my wyches cover, that *did* make room for him to come back. The Annihilation Barge moves so that the tall wall will give it a degree of Cover. I make both FlickerField saves! It had not done squat thus far. The white wyches are going to try to catch and finish off Anrakyr. Four.<br /> <br /> You can see the "flame/smoke" styrofoam on the right, showing the Anni-Barge has been killed. Sorry for the upside-down picture, but the squatting set of wyches come off the C&C objective to go play with the Lord and his Prats. Maybe 3 inches. It's a costly h2h for both of us. My girls passed Morale or is was a tie. Can't recall now. I do remember having the agonizer and most of the girls focus on the prats, hoping for a win on combat and the blown morale. But, the failed Diff-terrain roll for the white painted girls on Anrakyr, and the feeble assault on the Destroyer Lord totally stalled what I thought was gonna be a momentum swing. Also, it's the end of Turn 4, and I am royally running out of time to get a skimmer cruising across the table to contest his objective, which is guarded by a Ghost Ark with a crew of Warriors. <br /> <br /> I am now utterly playing for a Tie. If the game goes 7 Turns, I have a chance. But it's pretty thin.]]></description>

I held my tongue, as I was getting beat down pretty good, and if the girls win the h2h, they'd no longer Fall Back and would rally after the combat. JM decided to risk it, the girls passed Morale for being assaulted and would go on to defeat Anrakyr, and he did not get back up with Ever Living. The girls pick up a Pain Token and Consolidate on the objective. Shoulda stayed close to deny the Saves. Given a likely 20" or so assault range, the vehicles simply should have flown *over* the scarabs toward the Necron side. They're above half. I stick a template down to check. Just close enough to prevent a Rally. I'll roll a nice fat number and they run off the board. <br /> <img src="http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i142/erekose42/Jmartins%20necron%20batrep/IMG_0351.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> My last resort for a tie-game is to pour tons of shots into the Lord and his two praetorians. I only need him to miss 5 saves. The venoms, ravager, pistols. I had one riader left which I flew on top of the terrain piece. You cant <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> out of a vehicle geting its additionall protection - enemy needs 6+to hit, necron all in all need 6 to glance - bout you can shure as hell shoot out of the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(415);'>OT</span> transports.<br /> Nice rep though, no arguments on it, realy fluffy.]]></description>
