The rear end of the cannon has a magnet on it. The is ark body has a corresponding magnet where the rear of the gun attaches. Before I attached the lower ribs, those two magnets grabbing each other could hold the gun in position quite easily. The gun has cables that reach down to the ribs, but those are just for show. I filed them down so they barely touch the ribs so I don't break them constantly installing and removing the gun.

The ribs only have magnets where the warriors hook in and there is a picture that shows that. I use 1/8" neodymium magnets. I'm not sure what you mean by rolling. I drill a hole to hold the magnet. Then use thick super glue, or in this case I didn't have any on hand, some epoxy resin to fill the hole around the magnet. So, you can't actually touch the magnet because there is a thin layer of resin covering it. They don't move.

Oh, if you're asking about the pieces rolling once they're on...
The ark has some prongs that stick into the back of the cannon. Probably for strong glue anchors but they keep the cannon for rotating at all.
