				<description><![CDATA[ Just though I should create a thread for gun owners/shooters. I currently own an 12 gauge Remington 870, and am saving up for a Saga rifle in .223. Maybe even convert it to a tactical configuration, and make it 922r compliant.]]></description>

I really like EOTech's reticle pattern, and Triji's because...well...it's Trijicon.  Currently budgeting an ACOG and a 3-9x Accupoint.  Caliber wise would have to be the good ol' .308.  Does the job with so many applications, you can't really go wrong with it.]]></description>

The other side of that being I suppose that surplus ammo may be packed with cordite and have corrosive primers.]]></description>

I ran into a proposal from I thing the late 80's or early 90's to restock and rebarrel a number of No.4's in the hands of some kind of Canadian volunteer paramilitary. It was well meaning but overly expensive, they wanted mcmillian stocks and custom barrels, I'm pretty sure with a caliber change too. <br /> edit: found on wiki Canadian Rangers<br /> <br /> .303 was once very prolific, now difficult to find. We also have a model 29 .44 mag in case of Aussie drop bears,  revenuers, or if I just feel lucky. One seriously old school cap and ball revolver, ye old cannon of much smoke making! Probably will fill out the bench with two new 9mms in the next 12 months. <br /> <br /> Other long guns: M1 and Remington 870 given to me when <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(583);'>GC</span> turned 5 by my dad, as a future boyfriend motivational device. Now I can go buy handguns and assault type rifles in MN!<br /> <br /> First buy is probably going to be a H&K USP compact in 9mm, with the potential purchase of a threaded barrel to go with it (they don't have the option from the factory, but have factory threaded barrels)<br /> <br /> After that it is saving money for Germany and for another purchase after I get back... either another hand gun, or rifle, either ar15 or ak.<br /> <br /> I also want to build a 1911.]]></description>

I've spelled Afrika well THAT way my entire life, and in Uni no one has even batted an eye. <br /> As far as immigration as long as you have a marketable skill to get a work visa and patience with the process it's not so bad. The actual process is probably ridiculous, I imagine there's one or more folks on Dakka that have done it.  ]]></description>

Now I'm looking for a reloader that won't break the bank, preferably progressive, that will do handgun, rifle, and shot gun. If that's not possible I'll go for a progressive for shotgun and load everything else one at a time.]]></description>

Cheekpad is a SAM splint folded up and taped the crap out of. Looks completely out of place on a brand new stock, but works very well. Gives a great cheek weld and puts me right behind the Leupold. <br /> <br /> <img src="http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy285/docrock184/DSC00171-1.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> Second newest rifle. Remington 700 SPS Tactical with a Timney 510 trigger set for 1.5lbs in a H&S Precision PST012 stock. Leupold Mk 4 ER/T 6.5-20x50mm M5 in Seekin's Medium Rings on a Seekins 20 MOA base. Harris BRM bipod and a Triad Tactical stock pack in ranger green. <br /> <br /> Been recovering from surgery, haven't been able to get out to the range. Some things have been changed around - sold my M1A SOCOM 16 and got a full sized M1A standard, sold my midlength AR and got a Remington 700 SPS Tactical, added my Block II AR build, and my wife's AR (the one with the EOTech) got a new Spike's upper and TA33 ACOG. Also missing two Marlin 795s, my Beretta 92FS, a Winchester 1300 Defender 12 ga and my H&R Topper shotgun.]]></description>
