Using AOBR marines as another marine army

I bought the AOBR box set and use the orks as my standard army. I have a leftover Space Marine starter set: Space Marine Captain, Dreadnought, 5 man Terminator squad (4 power fists, 1 power sword & iron halo (I think)), 10 man tac squad w/sergeant, flamer, and missile launcher.

I would like to start a 2nd army using this set. My question is, what other space marines codices could I use this for other than codex Space Marine, with minimal conversion? I think the models are too different to be used for Space Wolves, Grey Knights, or Chaos Space Marines and Dark Angels don't interest me much. That leaves me with Black Templar and Blood Angels. Both are intriguing options. Blood Angels are very competitive and Black Templars should be getting a new codex soon.

Which would be easier convert to? Would the dreadnought be usable for Blood Angels (I'm not sure the difference in the furioso vs. AOBR dreadnought?

The terminators don't have any markings that I can see to indicate that they belong to a specific chapter, but the tactical squad has a raised up arrow on their right shoulder. Is that something specific to a chapter, or is it generic? I'm thinking maybe getting some etched brass to apply to the left shoulders:
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Etched_Brass

What are everyone's thoughts?

Dreadlord is incorrect. The Arrow means "Tactical" in the Astartes handbook. It's not a Ultramarine symbol. And, anyway, all the UM symbols can be easily removed with a small file.

As for using them for BA, you'll be fine.

And a word of advice?
I made Black Templars out of mine. The arrows on the shoulder are easy to scrape of with a hobby knife and a file. You could easily use them as Space wolves, too. Just add a few wolf tails and other small bits or SW specific backpacks and paint em the right color. You can't use the dread as a BA furioso because they have 2 close combat arms.

They have very specific weapon options.

-The Blood Angels have many different types of Dreadnoughts. The AoBR dread is totally acceptable as a Blood Angel.
The difference between the furioso and other dreads is that it has 2 combat arms.

-The terminators can be used as any chapters terminators except, again, the Grey Knights.
The arrow pointing up means Tactical Squad.
Using AOBR marines as another marine army

You'll be fne, however you want to go. All you've got to do is convert your models so that they show the actual weapons you want to use.....and people will generally cut you some slack as you are getting started.

I turned AOBR into Dark Angels. Then I turned them into a force I called Burning Angels. They have symbols of Angels, Fire and Dragons that I picked up from various locations.

I play them as Salamanders, Dark Angels, and Standard Marines. I also made a captain on a bike that I've fitted with various trophies, etc. to run as White Scars if I feel like it.

I'd suggest picking your own unique color scheme and putting some focus into special characters that allow you the flexibility to play different ways.
