				<description><![CDATA[ for a blood angels list. <br /> <br /> 2 10 man assault squads with 2x melta guns and powerfist <br /> <br /> 3 priests w jump packs<br /> <br /> 1 librarian with honour guard 4x plasma guns<br /> <br /> i was thinking the rest could be <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(224);'>th</span>/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>ss</span> assault terminators? <br /> <br /> maybe even 2 squads of 10. 20 assault terminators would beable to ring some bells. i dont think even grey knights would want to deal with that in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>. <br /> <br /> whats the best way to use them tho. foot slogging? one priest would stay back to give the whole mess feel no pain. <br /> <br /> thoughts? ]]></description>

In a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(10);'>BA</span> list it's a somewhat less bad idea than for Codex Marines, but it's still not great.<br /> <br /> The problem is that <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(224);'>TH</span>/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span> Terminators are 40 points, don't get a whole lot of attacks (meaning they simply cannot deal with hordes), and die like flies to weight of fire. It takes 6 wounds (assuming no AP2), on average, to kill a Terminator. That means that Space Marines drop 1 Terminator for every 18 bolter shots, Orks drop a Terminator for every 36 shoota shots, and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> drop a Terminator for every 36 lasgun shots. Against <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> you have it even worse, because they have a ton of Poisoned weapons that will commonly get a re-roll to wound.<br /> <br /> Those numbers sound pretty good, right? The problem is that you have no ranged weapons, and without transports you have no way of catching the shooters. 20 Ork Boyz will kill, on average, one of your Terminators with every turn of shooting, and they can keep that up basically as long as they like, because you can't do anything to them. Then, as soon as they decide they've softened you up enough, they close in and charge. You lose.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> simply wait for you to close within 12", issue <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(371);'>FRFSRF</span>, and drown you in lasgun fire. Of course, you'll have lost a few models on your way in, as well; if you have no vehicles, any weapon that isn't busily massacring your Librarian and his Honor Guard (who are really quite vulnerable) is just tossing shots into the Termies. They'll fail saves eventually. <br /> <br /> Assault Terminators are not a generalist unit. They're highly, highly specialized; they win combats against other deathstars. That's ALL they do; they simply cannot fight anything else with any semblance of effectiveness. IN order to fight deathstars with them, you need to reach charge range without losing models to fire, and that means Land Raiders really are necessary if you want to use them.]]></description>
