That's a solid list, you can't live life worrying about Space Wolves and besides that you have the cover save and a decent amount of targets at 1000pts.

All I can really say is use up those 5 points. I know how great deffrollas can be so I applaud its inclusion!

1000 Point Speed Freaks orks

Arcturus215 wrote:Looks fun to play but armies like space wolves that have a large amount of rhinos and razorbacks would cripple you
Also long fangs would own you, half your tanks would go in the first turn. Oh and purifiers would hurt.

And where is anti terminator?

I Tanks Shocked 2 Sword and 8 Hammer Ultramarine Terminators last night with a Deffrolla and shot them with the 18 Sluggas and Nobz Big Shoota inside, killing 6 before I charged the rest and wiped them out for the cost of like 6 Boyz. You have enough anti-terminator. Boarding Planks are awesome against Dreadnaughts as you can move over 6" and still assault them without them hitting back. Then on their turn, they are only hitting your vehicle in assault on 6s.

How many Razorbacks and Longfangs units do you think will be fielded at 1000? I am really asking. 6? What are the possible scenarios?

Dawn of War: Ork going First: Roll on in a 20" wide Trukk wall 19" up the middle (4" wide Deffrolla, 2X5" dispersion, 2X3" wide Trukks on outside). Ork player now has 39" between his outside Trukks his opponent's back corners.
Spacewolf going second: LFs negated, Rhinos + RBs can only fire 1 weapon each through Night Fighting and 4+ cover save. If he takes positions in both corners he has split his forces and the Orks will throw their entire might against a portion of the SWs. Better to turtle up in a corner and hope for the best. Not going to win objectives, 67% of missions.

Dawn of War: SW going First: Moving froward with R+RBs to claim objectives will just close the distance the Orks have to travel. Takes away at least a round of shooting (the strength of his army). If he takes positions in both corners he has split his forces and the Orks will throw their entire might against a portion of the SWs. Better to turtle up in a corner and hope for the best. Not going to win objectives, 67% of missions.
Ork going second: Roll on 19" straight towards the SWs. Ork player now has 29" between his Trukks his opponent's back edge.

Spearhead: Ork going First: Set up 51" from the SWs back corner, move 19" Turn 1. Ork player now has 39" between his Trukks his opponent's back corner, meaning SW will only get 1 round of shooting before the remaining Trukk Boyz begin assaulting his vehicles.
Spacewolf going second: Turtle up in his corner and hope for the best. Not going to win objectives, 67% of missions.

Spearhead: SW going First: Moving froward with R+RBs to claim objectives will just close the distance the Orks have to travel. Hope for the best. OR Stay away from SWs and use speed to claim Objectives at end of game.

Pitched Battle: Ork going First: Set up 20" wide Trukk wall. Ork player now has 44" between his Trukks his opponent's back corners, meaning SW will only get 1 round of shooting before the remaining Trukk Boyz begin assaulting his vehicles.
Spacewolf going second: Moving froward with R+RBs to claim objectives will just close the distance the Orks have to travel. Takes away at least a round of shooting (the strength of his army). Weather 2 rounds of shooting OR stay away from SWs and use speed to claim/contest Objectives at end of game.

Spacewolf players who want to sip tea and talk about the virtues of the Aesir on their back board edge while relying on their Big Gunz to do their dirty work do not frighten Orks. They go to fetish parties dressed like Commissars.

Purifiers: at 120 points per Squad, how many do you think will be fielded at 1000? Stay out of CC. Stay mounted tank shocking and shooting the bastards after moving 7". Force them to assault Boyz in the rubble or on the other side of wrecked vehicles in the hopes of them failing a difficult terrain test for assault. Move away and shoot them if possible. If you can't escape assault, just shoot and allow them to assault you so that their Stormbolters can't be aimed at other targets on their turn. Remember, each one of them costs 4 Boyz, ~6 with a Psycannon, so appropriate reciprocating losses are acceptable.

1000 Point Speed Freaks orks

It will work great as long as you play the missions, opponents, and deployments correctly. Especially against gun lines with objectives in which I am going second, I often put everything in reserves to take away 2 turns of shooting and use the speed of the Trukks to claim/contest objectives later in the game. Also depends on who you are facing. Trukks are really easy to take out, but they have their own damage table if they get destroyed or wrecked. Do you have to use the same list through the whole league?

JDog02 wrote:im not sure, i havent asked to much, i just started getting into playing, been painting for a year and a half, but not much gaming, had noone around i knew that played, so i will ask, probably not tho...

I was in an almost identical position last year, this is a solid list (btw 2*5 lootas are better then 1*10 for moral, target saturation and multiple targeting reasons) if you put this list together you know what your doing and if you have learned the rules without false assumptions like usual gaming groups all you need to have is a bit of experiance and you will do well.

Only weakness i can see with this list is a nasty IC ruining your day however we probably won't see them in 1k games.

Reinforced ram is only realy useful if your doing ramming/assaulting shinanigans (tank shock a squad with two trucks in the right position so that if you then disembark and charge the whole squad won't be attacking you in close combat (look into dashofpeppers de tactica with raiders since its pretty much the same thing)
Big shoota with your shoot boyz seems nice at first, but with mathammer rokkit is better (more cost effective at causing a wound against meq(which is what most enemys play) and more diverse, Also shoota's as a rule of thumb are better for footslogging and sluggas for mech, but i see how a bit of opentopped firepower could be useful.
I know it may not be mainstream view but i think armour plates are not cost effective, you are open topped so they would need to roll a One, assuming no melta, which doesent happen very often especially including your obscure save.

Overall this list would be great for objective games which is most the time and if used well would swamp the enemy with boyz in annihilation. Kudos.

EDIT: Im sure if you look around localy there will be a gaming group of GW hidden somewhere - wargaming is suprisingly popular
