				<title>new to Fantasy Small 500 point army, Help requested</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hi all i'm kinda new to Warhammer <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(153);'>FB</span> and i could use some advice, a bunch of friends and i play fantasy every now and then (we're all in Melbourne)  since we're all just starting out we generally have only small armies<br /> <br /> So far i'm fighting<br /> - Vampire counts <br /> - High Elves<br /> - Tomb Kings (hasnt finished his army yet)<br /> - Skaven (hasnt finished her army yet)<br /> - Lizardmen (hasnt finished his army yet)<br /> - Wood Elves <br /> <br /> So with this in mind I have been trying to put together a generic 500 point army, something thats jack of all trades, (unfortunetly I have learned much to my chagrin that swordmasters of hoeth are in fact broken) and could really use some advice on the subject since i keep getting my a** handed to me<br /> <br /> Anywho heres my list<br />  <br /> <font color='red'>---- 500 points empire ----</font><br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(347);'>Lvl</span> 2 Battle Wizard of the Jade order - <b>100 points </b><br /> Spearmen with Standard Musician and Seargeant X 40 - <b>320 points</b><br /> ^Detachment Free company X10 - <b>50 points </b><br /> ^Detachment Halberdiers X 10 - <b>50 points </b><br /> Handgunners X10 - <b>80 points</b><br /> <br /> Basically the whole point of this army is to hang around as long as possible with the ability to swap one of the lore of life spells for earthblood for a very pesky regeneration and the battlewizard with the large group of spearmen they can all get the regeneration then on a charge reaction he flees from the unit whilst the two detachments mop up for the dirty work. I was debating whether to take handgunners or crossbowmen, the extra range would be nice, i just find that in the 500 point battles we have that people generally tend to soup up a unit, and i like the extra armour piercing. That being said i was debating whether to drop one of the detachment and the wizard for a warrior priest, hatred can be rather nasty on the first turn plus added survivability and extra attacks. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ At 500 points, a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(347);'>lvl</span> 1 of fire with ruby ring of ruin is an excellent combination.  Earthing rod would help diffuse the likely miscast results though. <br /> <br /> Many ogre, empire, and dark elf players used this combination to much success.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yeah that makes tons of sense, do have a few quick questions about bound spells though<br /> <br /> - The casting value for the purposes of dispells can never be higher than the unaltered casting value of the bound spell ? ( eg spell costs 5, i use two dice and roll 10 - my enemy can then dispell at 5?)<br /> - Can i cast the same spell multiple times in the same magic phase with the item, or does it have to be specifically stated that i can do this, the bound spell wasnt really all that clear<br /> - With bound spells can i repeat cast because they do not suffer from the herp derp rule (break concentration) eg i use a bound spell, herp derp occurs, can i continue to cast other spells ?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Bound items once per phase, the herp derp doesn't matter, they have to dispel at the rolled ammount. But note the lore attribute on the lore of fire still works on the ring. ]]></description>
