I think he is worth it!

HQ that can be ID'd by a Power Fist. In addition, you pay for special rules that either help you build a bad list (remove 0-1 DC limit) or that just don't help that much (buff to Red Thirst). He really isn't worth it.

The Red Thirst buff isn't worth much because you either run a list that isn't focused on CC, like mech BA, or you want Priest support, which mostly counterfeits the value of the Red Thirst. Fearless might be worth a little, but it's a double-edged sword and not worth a ton.

I've always wondered... would astorath, 3 10 man squads of Death Company, and 3 stormravens be a decent army?
