				<title>SM vanilla 1500 need some input</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hi guys, I normally play orks, but have been building <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span>'s on the side.  This is my first attempt at a 1500 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> list, I know there are some problems with it but I have only played <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span>'s up to 1000 points so far. I will be purchasing the vehicles, and my only <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> that I currently own is the captain.  I have some funds to play with but trying to base it on the models that come with 2 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(505);'>Aobr</span> sets as much as possible.  I don't need a perfect list, but something that is at least survivable and semi-competitive. 				<description><![CDATA[ Bike captain is one of the uses of captain that I like.  Try bringing the command squad with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> weapons and bikes at higher costs. Also bike troops can be a good idea.<br /> <br /> Your land raider is a little pricey to field at this cost.<br /> You do not need a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> threat so the assault termies are a little excessive.<br /> <br /> In general I would be happy enough with the list.  Everything works reasonable well together.<br /> <br /> Improvements would be things like 2TLautocannon dreads may be better as it takes time to get into range with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(505);'>AoBR</span> dreads.<br /> Fist in a 5 man squad isn't really worth the points, they should be in the car mostly and then may not survive long in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> in any case.<br /> In general plasma guns are better with bikes to keep them out of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span>.  Then an attack bike with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span> is an excellent addition.  Maybe increasing so they can become troops would be good. Landspeeders are probably better for delivering melta.<br /> You should use a command squad if you want them to run with the captain.<br /> <br /> Small points:<br /> The stormbolters on the razorbacks are excessive, in any case if you shoot a lascannon at something you probably will not care for a few bolter shots.<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> las is a good enough turret though it really depends on the list.<br /> I feel it takes a few bits of mech to distract from the raider or at least to benefit from the raider being the sink of all the shots. This is more for higher points.<br /> You are nearly making a Vulkan list.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Turn the captain into a normal guy on foot. Give him a power weapon and some better armor, and have him catch a ride with the termies. The bikes are pretty much a suicide squad to take down that random land raider, or put some wounds on a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span>. Let them run around shooting things keeping fire off your other guys and get the captain into a land raider and let him lead the charge with the termies. If you really wanted to give him a thunder hammer and a storm shield and art armor and let him make believe that he is a termie. Personally i like giving Captains a power weapon so you can weaken a squad before you have to take saves for the termies. <br /> <br /> What are on the dreads? just a multi melta and a close combat arm? Give them extra armor so you can keep moving up. And give them a heavy flamer.  Like every one else is saying drop the storm bolter on the razor back. The razor back is there for just another las cannon, after that gets blown off or late in the game becomes a transport again.<br /> <br /> Maybe this will help you a little.]]></description>
