				<description><![CDATA[ No, it not ok.  Not cool, not cool.<br /> <br /> You really need transportation.  Maybe a scout list or another codex if you really want to walk.<br /> <br /> Jump pack captain means taking assault squad, which isn't fun.<br /> <br /> The tactical squads lay out may be all right.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span> have 24' range and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>devs</span> can not walk and shoot.  Your enemy is being silly if he fools for this, maybe draigowing.<br /> <br /> Assault squads are rubbish they can not do <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> at all well.  They are also then expensive.<br /> <br /> 1000 pts is rubbish for marines you should consider higher totals to think about a rounded list.<br /> Otherwise transportation and maybe a librarian as an easy and cheap <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> then you will be flying <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0"><br /> P.S. stop playing like <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> and orks <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I play 1000 points and go with<br /> <br /> A Chaplain with termie armor<br /> <br /> 5 man assault termie squad with lightning claws<br /> <br /> 2 (10 man) <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squads with flamers and this is the tricky part. I either use 2 missile launchers or 2 lascannons depending on the opponents list and the objective, and a dreadnought with <br /> the standard close combat fist (either flamer or bolter, again depending on the opponent) with either the lascannon, the plasma cannon, the autocannon, or assault cannon.<br /> Using the 2 lascannons on the marines makes the dreadnought require the plasma cannon, the autocannon, or assault cannon choice, and the missile launchers would give the dreadnought the twin linked lascannon. <br /> <br /> A pred with twin linked lascannons and heavy bolters on the side.<br /> <br /> and a whirlwind.<br /> <br /> This gives me a lot of options with what to do in a game. The few games I have played with this list have been wins and have been against several tyranid players and an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> player. so I have gone with the lascannons on the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squads and interchanged between the three cannon choices for the dread in the games. I always attach the Chaplain to the termies so that I can reroll to hit and to wound in the first round of assault (always rerolling to wound because of lightning claws). And the basic build for the Whirlwind and Pred have supported my army heavily. I am sure that there are huge flaws in this 1000 points but I figured that since you were just getting started I could throw out my 1000 point army and see if it interested you.]]></description>
