Is taking 2 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQs</span> worth it for the honor guard and the cheap sanguinary priest that comes with it?<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ My thoughts and take them as exactly that.<br /> <br /> I'm assuming by the title this is a "Jump" list and not a "Descent of Angels" list, but you and I both know what assuming makes.<br /> <br /> Librarians are always a good choice. I personally would probably give 1 of them Blood Lance.<br /> <br /> I get your idea behind the flamers. However, that being the only weapons you chose for the Honor Guard, I would rethink this.<br /> <br /> The troops are standard and exactly the amount I would have chosen. However, a few things to think about. <br /> <br /> The "2(10man) Assault squads (2melta+ L claw sarge)" You are aware that this only gives him 1 lightning claw and they only get to re-roll when they have 2 correct? If not you may wanna re-think this.<br /> <br /> The "(10man) Assault squad (2melta+sarge infurnus pistol)"<br /> Melta's are fine, but I personally hate the infernus pistol. It's range is crap and in my opinion is a waste of points for a base 2 attack model.<br /> <br /> The "(10man) Assault squad (2flamers+ sarge hand flamer)" I personally don't use flamers at all because against marines they are a waste. You are wounding on 4s and they get their armor save and feel no pain save if they have it. The most you are going to do is make their armor warm to the touch. Against Orks, they are better because you are negating most of their armor saves but you are only going to get 4-5 orks under a template at once and are wounding on a 4+. But, that's me personally.<br /> <br /> Sang priests are fine. There's debate on whether to give them anything besides what they come with. I personally like giving them power weapons because of their <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span> and 2 Attacks. Your decision.<br /> <br /> I hate Sanguinary Guard. They are too expensive for what they do. I never take them and will never take them more than likely. That's 400 points I could spend giving my sergeants and Honor Guard better suited weapons.<br /> <br /> Best thing to do is play it and see what works.]]></description>

A single <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> does give you the re-roll to wound.  "A Lightning Claw is a Power Weapon and it also allows the wielder to re-roll any failed roll to wound." pg42 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(13);'>BRB</span><br /> <br /> So, you don't need a pair.  In fact, pairs are generally a waste.  You pay 15 points for 1 extra attack, usually not worth it.  You give up the Bolt Pistol too, which has some minimal value.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Sorry a mistake on my part they do have two lightning claws. My reasoning behind the sanguinary guard is that they will focus on them and draw a lot of fire leaving my other squads with room to breath, or if they don't then I get a 15 power weapon attacks at I5. <br /> <br /> The reason I have the amount of flamers is that I have repeatedly lost to hoard armies like the tyranids and figured some flamers that negate the cover save from shinanigance like venom thropes or other things with effects such as this would be a good idea. <br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 9px; line-height: normal;">Automatically Appended Next Post:</span><br /> What's your opinion on vanguard vets?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Drop the 2nd claw, the IP and hand flamers and put some <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(105);'>PF</span> in there<br /> <br /> I prefer Vanguard vets over <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(164);'>Sag</span> gurad, but only if you are doing a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(493);'>DoA</span> list.  Otherwise they aren't worth the cost at all.  If anything drop them and go for another unit of ASM and another priest! <br /> <br /> If not any of those options, that then maybe a unit of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(224);'>TH</span>/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span> termies in a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> with a Priest in Terminator armour.<br /> Thats a 2+/3++/4+++.  You can pretty much stick them into anything and they will survive]]></description>
