Ipad: best ereader

I did some searching and found a lot of discussions about the legality of pdf's and the usefullness of tablets as gaming aids, and I would like to avoid those topics by asking: does anyone recommend a good e-reader for the iPad that is better than iBooks?

I have been searching for an app that has more bookmarking, highlighting, and saved search options.

I have found the iPad to be a great space saver and reference tool during games but I think it's functionality can be improved with a better e-reader app; or I will need to abridge material for faster queries. If I can bookmark with different colors for example and highlight text, then I might not need to take the time to edit and condense material.

One e-reader I was considering was "Best PDF Reader" ... if you own and use an iPad, do you have any suggestions?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
After further searching I discovered Good Reader, it looks like it has all the functions I was searching for and it has good reviews - too bad it's $4.99 though - but, if it saves as much time as I expect it will, then it will be well worth it.
