With the Noise Marine's assault weapons and versatility they make great mobile firepower while being excellent up-close because of the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> and I5.  Some aspects of this list that need to be noted:<br /> <br /> -This list lacks a lot of mobile melta, but it makes up for it with high target saturation and mobile cover (a lot of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(571);'>DCCW</span>'s don't hurt of course)<br /> -I plan on NOT always Kan-Walling forward (which is a major drawback <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>IMO</span> of the Ork's version), meaning against armies I can out shoot, I will out shoot them, and against armies that I cannot, I can still produce heavy dakka on the move<br /> -The tricky lists are the ones that I can out shoot, but can tie me up in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> and take apart my army while my backbone (the Noise Marines) are delayed... IE Necrons, Eldar, Orks, Deep-Strike heavy Space Marines and the like.<br /> -The above point is, that while I have not tested this list, I believe its weakness is being zerged<br /> -<b>Because Games-Workshop errata states that Chaos Dreadnoughts only Fire Frenzy on units in their 45 degree weapon arc, this list just might work!</b><br /> <br /> But, why a sorc. over a Daemon Prince (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span>)?!?<br /> --Your right, a lash <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> is 5 points less, is better in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>, is more mobile, and looks cooler.  The thing is with this army, though, I don't need more target saturation!  And the Sorc. has a Force Weapon... Many undervalue its insta-kill aspect, and one thing that I need is character-kill for this army.  SO for the same points, relatively, I get a S and is less of a fire powa' magnet (because I need lash, pretty much). <br /> <br /> SO why not take more Sorc.'s with lash??!? <br /> --Don't want my army so psychic heavy, it'd be rough vs anything that needs a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>ld</span> roll on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(2);'>3d6</span> or that can punish psykers.<br /> <br /> <br /> I like this list, or atleast the idea behind it. Plus who doesn't like a little variation from normal chaos armies!!  No oblits, no <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span>, three dreadnoughts, and even some raptors!! 				<description><![CDATA[ I like it.  its interesting and unique.  I am not sure if the steed is neccessary on the sorceror.  I would drop that.  <br /> <br /> The raptors are kind of out of place.  I think dropping them for another sorceror would be more benifical.  <br /> <br /> As I run a kan wall army, I like the similarities.  You just lack the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span>.  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>lol</span>  I however do mine as a shooty army.  I do not assault unless it is the last option.  I usealy out shot those I play.  Its rather fun really.  <br /> <br /> But I do like the list, would love to hear how it goes for you.<br /> ]]></description>

Nowhere near the kind of fire power and anti tank that the kan wall can lay down. my kan wall at 2k puts out 22 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 8 shots. In this list i see 6 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 8(all in blast template form which makes it hard to hit with), 2 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 8 melta, and 9 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 6/7(cant remember if <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(5);'>AC</span> is 6 or 7) shots. The noise marines also lack a proper way to defend themselves in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> vs a dreadnought or other walker type.<br /> <br /> Overall i see the theme, but the effectiveness is significantly less and far more fragile than what it is modeled after. <br /> <br /> A themed list like this would be easier made by <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(10);'>BA</span>. 2x Libbys with shield, lots of marines, and lots of dreads to recieve the cover provided by shield of sanguinius.<br /> <br /> Just my $0.02]]></description>

I like this list.  I'd like it better with plasma cannons on the dreads.  Maybe even Plasma + Missile launcher since there isn't a lot of heavy weapons fire.  This is a sit back and shoot list so chances are the dreads are never going to make it to close combat.  I'd keep the autocannons on the defilers too, since with so few mech targets they are probably going to lose some battle cannons.  Hell this might be a list where I would actually upgrade them to lascannon + havoc launcher.   Make the enemy come to you and rain battle cannon pie plates and plasma cannons on them as long as you can.  ]]></description>

Defiler is already a bit overcosted. no point in adding to it. ESPECIALLY since its a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> <b>3</b> Lascannon<br /> <br /> Plasma on your Dreads is great. Just make sure you face them properly. they cant turn and fire at you, so as long as your careful, fire frenzy is nothing but gravy.<br /> <br /> I would lose the mount. your sorc running off alone to go charge something and endangering your lash source? yeah... not so much. in fact a second 125 point lash sorc would make this army much better. hide them in squads.<br /> <br /> I find your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(526);'>NM</span> squads to be taking up too many points and not providing enough oomph. smaller squads /w fists would be better. or even vanilla <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> /w 2x melta guns and a fist champ. if you keep the Noise marines put your sorcs in there to provide the I6 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(486);'>PW</span> and then have your champ with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(105);'>PF</span> on cleanup duty. too many same initiative attacks lets your opponents play wound allocation shenanigans. fist fist fist.<br /> <br /> and lastly, i understand your going for a slanesh theme. but 3x battle cannons and 3x plasma cannons is enough anti-infantry for anyone. i think your going to have a much harder time vs mech, and you need things that can pop that mech from range, which means melta. multiple <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(308);'>MSU</span> marines or plague marines in rhinos /w combi meltas gives you this tank popping, AND adds more target saturation for your enemies limited armor piercing weapons.  dropping 6xAV 12 and 4X <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> 11 on the table at the start of the game can be intimidating. (my own army drops that, 2 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span>, and threatens turn 2 Greater Daemon, rawr!) <br /> <br /> Remember that the most recent <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>FAQ</span> plays into your favor, with the Dreadnoughts not being able to turn and fire frenzy AND lash being a Psychic shooting attack that can be used out of the hatch of a rhino.<br /> <br /> Just my Buck and change (from someone who plays something similar <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">  )]]></description>
