I'm going to be participating in a club tournament tomorrow (second one ever - have only being playing for a year - I'll be playing a meched up GK henchman list). I know one of the guys who will be there will be playing his blood angels. Typically he brings a lot of fast vehicles - usually two vindies, some razorbacks, a stormraven laden with death company and a furiouso dread and Mephiston Lord of Cheese. Typically he just rushes you first turn up to 12" and take his 24" shots which can be devastating.

Short of hiding behind LOS blocking terrain and reserving what else should I consider? Especially where the vindies are concerned.

Because those will shut down BA mech very nicely from a distance. You really need to assault him and not the other way around. I've also got 3 psyrifle dreads.
