				<title>Dark Eldar Hellion based list?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I've seen plenty of people use a single massive squad of Hellions with the Baron (it goes without saying that you need to take the Baron if you are using Hellions, they can't compete with Beasts in Fast Attack), which is a pretty solid unit. It can dump a huge number of wounds into standard infantry, reliably bounce out of combats it can't win and is a nightmare to kill with shooting assuming you get them <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span> to start. Its main weakness is <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>Ld</span>, but since you can get 2 Tokens for 80pts (Haemonculi + Wracks and the Baron to shuffle a Token around) you just need to kill 1 infantry unit to get Fearless anyway.<br /> <br /> Other than that I don't think I've seen anyone use what I would call a real Hellion based army, with multiple units of them. Certainly I haven't seen them used effectively in tournaments. The closest I have seen is Panic's (I think it was Panic) <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(541);'>WWP</span> list, which uses a couple of units of Hellions out of a Portal, but its a highly experimental list which isn't really going to threaten well built lists at tournaments.<br /> <br /> On paper I like Hellions, since they shoot better than Warriors and hit harder in assault than Wyches. They just fall over in so many key areas, they can't get a transport, which means you don't get Venoms to boost your anti infantry and means all the anti infantry firepower your opponent has has an immediate target, they can't reliably threaten vehicles (assuming they are on the move) unless they get seriously boosted (+1S for Drugs and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(397);'>FC</span> for S6), they die painful in combat to serious assault units since they have no invulnerable and unless you get them a Pain Token (easy for a single unit, not so much for 3+ units) they die painful to small arms as well. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(325);'>Tbh</span> probably the biggest thing is their cost, since a usable unit is going to be close to 200 points, and for that you could almost get 2 full smaller scoring units (Blaster Warriors in a Venom + 3 Wracks in a Venom).]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I dont think it can work.  even with cover you die too quickly to rapid fire weapons.  the unit with the baron has stealth the others dont.<br /> <br /> Hellions arent gonna be able to deal with tanks<br /> <br /> They die in droves to flamers.<br /> <br /> A big unit with the baron can work.  I dont think its good but it is a least average.  Additional units are a waste.]]></description>

With 2 Pain tokens, you have Furious Charge, Feel no Pain, Hit and Run, Stealth, Fearless, Offensive and Defensive grenades and the Banshee mask effect from the Autarch, if you take him. All for about 400 points. Honestly, that's one tough unit. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ A large hellion squad can work well paired with the baron(large being 15+) but taking them as mass troops will not work so well.<br /> <br /> For their cost, they are decent all round except for their ability to survive gunfire. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span> wont help against Mass S6+, but speed and the baron fix a lot of this. With allies as Araenion said, they become even more powerful sporting a farseer/autarch a la carte.<br /> <br /> That said, you have 1 good unit of them, but taking several units of them will not fare so well. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ They can't really be used as your main troops. You can make one unit of them with Baron and the pain token work okay at most.<br /> <br /> They have solid anti-infantry firepower with the pods, and their great assault stats... but, they die to anything and everything with T3, 5+, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>LD</span> 8. They're also not cheap. A single flamer is liable to have you removing over 60 pts of models.<br /> <br /> I wouldn't advise anyone to use Hellions, outside of with the Baron, and even he is better with beasts.]]></description>

This makes a big difference. You can no longer escort a unit to a board edge.]]></description>
