First of all it's all very very rough at the mo, it's will get better. My test model is exactly that, so there are still mould lines and stuff but it's only to get the idea

Counts as kharn the betrayer (Grendel from storm of iron) the axe is short as they are all based on trench bases and it's supposed to look trench axe-ish! Figuring the iron warriors melee weapons would be designed for brutal combat in cramped environs (trenches, bunkers etc)

When I saw the short-handled chainaxe, my first reaction was "that's way too small", but after reading your reasoning for why (i.e. extreme close-quarters trench fighting) your design choice made a lot of sense.
