				<title>What should I build with a box of Lizardmen Cold One Cavalry?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ So as birthday present I got myself some Cold One Cavalry as I wanted to start Fantasy and start with Lizardmen and basically said 'get me anything to do with Lizardmen please' as I wasn't sure on what to suggest. Upon reading up on forums though it seems that cavalry sucks in this edition and that Cold Ones are a bad choice. <br /> <br /> So I was just wondering what I should do with them? Are they viable? Or is there something I can do with them to make them viable?<br /> <br /> Much appreciated. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ If you have some models and want to use them, go ahead. Don't let the internet talk you out of it.<br /> <br /> As for the cold one cavalry, i think they are very useful. You can't charge them straight into the front of  a unit like some other units. If you instead get a good flank charge with them and have a block of saurus in the front, you can easily disrupt a unit and break them. Plus with a 1+ save and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>Str</span> 5 on the charge, they can hunt small units very well. Just try them out and you will eventually get the hang of them. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ When people say cavelry are bad, they are only comparing it to 7th edition(where Cavelry was God)<br /> <br /> <br /> Cavelry are still useful, as flankers and supporting charges. Use the Cold One Cavelry to support a block of Saurus in a fight or chase off enemy flankers. They are a decent cavelry unit overall, 1+ armor, T4, 2A, Str4(5), and a Str4 mount. And Cold Blooded too.<br /> <br /> A Small unit of 5 is probably the best set up as a flanker/harrasment.]]></description>

So don't make the same mistake I did!!!<br /> <br /> As Grey Templar and Hellstorm said, they are useful.  I'd recommend to any player who plays an army that has access to them, to have at least 1 unit of them (not in all lists, but just in your collection, just in case).]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ One thing a friend of mine did was convert Terradons and Salamanders from them. With a little green stuff, leg repositioning and plasticard/cardboard to make wings, it can be done. Sadly, I have no pictures, but something to consider.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ They are not bad and I have seen them used to great effect. I wouldnt use them in small armies since they just become a points sink. But at 2.5 to 3k there is no problem with fielding a unit of them.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Cavalry in General: Cavalry have their uses and fill a more proper role.  Nothing about 10 man cavalry unit charging a unit of infantry and breaking them from a frontal charge makes sense.  Historically, the Swiss Pike phalanx was known to destroy heavily armoured Knights when they charged the phalanx in the front.  7th made no sense what-so-ever.  Now, Cavalry fill the role their supposed to and it makes more sense.<br /> <br /> Now to Cold One Cavlary: Cold one Cavalry are easily 10 points to expensive for what they bring.  Their only redeeming factor is that after the charge instead of reverting to S3 like Human Knights do, they become S4.  big deal. <br /> <br /> I used my box <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(600);'>fo</span> CoC to make 3 Scar Vets, one with a Great Weapon, one with a Halberd, and one with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HW</span>&S.  I use the remaining as Unit Fillers.]]></description>
