Fantasy Scenery

Hey guys

My wife and I have started to play Fantasy games (no sniggering at the back) almost every friday night. The thing that's letting it down is our lack of scenery I have stacks of stuff for 40k but nothing for fantasy.

She collects high elves so was thinking of getting some elven themed pieces and makes some marsh lands and things.

Any ideas where the best place is to get such scenery in the UK the GW stuff seems very expensive for what should be quite a common thing (after all lots of fantasy table top games have elf's and things)

Gale Force 9 sells some very nice terrain pieces, and all prepainted too. http://www.flamesofwar.com/gf9online_store.aspx?categoryid=13170&Country=US

They are all reasonably priced for ready to play scenery.

Forests are an easy thing to make yourself. Get some green felt, cut it into the footprint you would like, and then get some trees to represent the woods. cheap and easy forests.

Gale Force 9 makes some nice prepainted Elven terrain, but it is fragile polystone:
http://www.flamesofwar.com/Default.aspx?tabid=287&CategoryID=13170&PageIndex=1

Only other Elven terrain is by the Spanish garage company Escenorama (also prepainted or for 2€ less unpainted):
http://escenorama.com/shopping/product.php?id_product=46

Good thing that most terrain in Fanatsy games is nature, like trees, hills and forests

Pink foam and paint goes amazingly long ways for scenery. Cut it into sections and make rolling hills. Or you can make a raised table and cut trenches into it. Castles are never a bad idea, and can easily be made with just about any construction material and elbow grease.

-cgmckenzie
