From what I can tell there is nothing like that in the US. Why (aside from GW being a British Company) is there nothing like this in the U.S?

Anyone have the names of the places like that in the UK. Also some clubs meet in pubs, or community centres that are licensed for drink.

GW had a plan to build a monster gaming venue, and they settled on a building in Watford which used to be a large Carpet warehouse and showroom.
It was multi floored and the floors were massive. The train links were excellent to London and to the rest of the country as well. A bar and snack restaurant were planned and a merchandising area as well.
It went as far as preparing to sign the lease and then it all went down the gurgler because the negative financial results in 2005 came home to roost and thats when the big cull of GW staff kicked in and the LotR bubble burst.
