On the right, I basecoated Mephiston Red over black primer, washed Carroburg Crimson, reapplied Mephiston Red, then did two layer highlights of Evil Sunz Scarlet then Wild Rider Red.

Which one do you all like better? I'm thinking I like the more burning/intense red of Mephiston Red. The Evil Sunz Scarlet IS Khador Red Base. I held that termie I painted with KRB next to it and they are the same dang color.

Carroburg Crimson is awesome, but you definitely have to reapply the basecoat, as it STAINS LIKE CRAZY. It's like flooding a model with Badab Black, even if you do it lightly and controlled flow into the recesses.

And the GW comparison chart is WACK. Mephiston Red is way closer to Blood Red than Evil Sunz Scarlet, and Wazdakka Red is no where NEAR Red Gore. I primed one white and one black. My white primed one didn't look orange at all but just a brighter red while the black primed one was just darker and all I used was Mepheston Red.
