Total : 1747 pts

I know it's not the most competitive list at all, but with this theme, it's 3 massive threats (both TWC units and Wolf Lord + Iron priest) backed up by the GH.

What do you think guys?

Now for some nitpicking.

1) The Wolf Guard aren't helping you much in this set up. I would recommend dropping them and using their points to grab another Troop choice.

2) Drop the Standards from the Grey hunter Packs. The idea behind lists like this is to allow the unit to fold in combat to allow either the rest of the army to shoot whatever it is to death or to "speed bump" deathstars so they don't steamroll your army.

3) I would prefer Bear on the Lord as he's going to be doing a lot of heavy lifting and with the Prevalence of Grey Knights out there, you want him to not be instagibbed by that one Halberd that gets through.

What you say make sense actually, let's say I shifted from big GH hunter in rhino to this set up because I felt that I needed fire support (and I don't want to field Long Fang, something about the fluff of my Lord ).

It's true that I didn't think about those GK that seems to grow everywhere. Good point.

I had an other Idea behind my head, of something like "nowhere is safe for you" list :

Let's say the same list, just without Wolf Guard and Standard but with 2*5 Scouts : 1 melta, all with meltabombs. I recently changed to the Wolf Claw from the Frost Blade after having been informed that statistically, the reroll for hits or wounds will almost always be better than having a static Str6 on your Lord.

It is only ten points, but that could get you another GH pack, or another thunderwolf.

Like AreTwo, I found the WC to produce better results, and it kind of negates the necklace if you choose to re-roll to hits. Statistically you kill more with it, and that's obvious. Although, the frost blade does look WAY cooler!!

Your GH packs should be bare bones in those Laserbacks, a melta will work just fine. Giving them a WG is kind of redundant, since they will be sitting in the vehicle that will be shooting the gak out of high priority targets. The guys inside don't have a fire point to use. They will die relatively quickly in CC, but they have to crack the tank first.

I would also recommend Saga of the Bear for you lord, your 250+ point model will live longer this way.

You could use the points from the WG to add a fourth wolf to each of the TWC packs, and still keep them ready for wound allocation shenanigans.

Double check the points costs for the gear for your Wolf Lord as well - I run a similar build (Mount, Claw, SS, Bear, Runic Armor, Bombs) and that costs 255.

Maybe because in the last FAQ they said that the Frost blade is only 10 its now for the Wolf Lord.

So I got two options :

The last FAQ added the 10 point frost blade to the 5th bullet point, which are the weapon options for Terminator Armor.

Since you cannot take both Terminator Armor AND a Thunderwolf Mount, you are required to buy wargear from the "Power Armor" options list.

Essentially, your Wolf Lord is buying TDA weapon options for cheaper without paying for Terminator Armor.
