Confused about Shokk Attack Gun (New player)

I'm a new ork player reading about the SAG, and I'm a bit confused on how it works.

I understand that you roll 2D6 to determine Strength, and everything works as normal until you roll snake eyes. The codex says that if you roll 11s, look at the table below. My question is: If the only way to access the table is to roll double 1s, is not the only possible outcome "Boom" (1,1 on the table)? Do you reroll the dice after rolling 11s to see where you land on the chart?

Also, it seems there are gaps in the table. For example, lets say I roll a 2 and a 3. There are table values for 2,2, and 3,3, but not 2,3. What happens?

Could anyone give a couple examples for attacking with a SAG? I'm just not understanding it.

Confused about Shokk Attack Gun (New player)

A Shokk attack gun will blow up or something if you roll a double anything or if you score 11 or 12 on the dice. Example 1: I shoot at a squad with the SAG. I roll the two dice and a 5 and a 6 come up. The total is 11 so I consult the table and "Bzzap" is the appropriate affect.
Example 2: I roll the two dice and 6 & 3 come up (the total is 9). The weapon acts normally, striking at strength 9.
Example 3: I roll the two dice and 3 & 3 come up. "Gah" on the table is the appropriate result.
Things to look out for: If you roll a 5 & 6, if you roll doubles of any kind. I am sorry if I have confused you!

Just like what guyperson5 said,

The SAG strength is 2D6.

The only time you need to consult the chart is if you roll any combination of doubles or an 11.

Confused about Shokk Attack Gun (New player)

Indeed, as stated.

If you ever roll a double (not just snake eyes), consult the chart to see the effect.

You use results you rolled initially, you do NOT roll again to see what happens on the chart.

So...

I roll for strength, I get a 3, and a 4. This triggers no effects from the chart, so I continue.

Next turn, I fire again, I get a 4, and a 4. This result triggers an effect from the chart.

And so on.

Just remember that if you roll any double for Strength, as well as a strength value for 11 (5, 6), it triggers an effect.
