This is my WIP Warlord Titan, made from various width MDF, pine, a few pieces of gas piping, lots of PVA glue and wood screws. I initially started work using templates I found on the Net, however once i got to the knees I decided to do things my own way. He's got decks underneath each 'armpit' with doors in them, for the techpriests/crew to access the wepaon mounting points, and I've so far built the basis of one arm with a gatling blaster. the top of the carapace is still open at this point, but once the other arm goes on i'll be able to enclose it- the turbolaser/apocalypse launcher mounting points will allow access to the bolt heads though in case i want to swap arms. As it stands now he's very heavy, around 10kilograms/22lbs, i reckon it'll be closer to 30lbs once he's finished... Unfortunately we've had major house renovations in the last 6 months which has prevented any more progress, and any day know i'm going to become a father, which will slow it down even more. So for now the Warlord sits (or should that be dominates?) on the top of my display cabinet at home, waiting for the next phase.





Also, I took it upon myself to build up a Marauder as well (halfway through the titan build), mainly cos someone said i couldnt... Its made from several sections of MDF, and the air intakes are just cut down PVC conduit piping. Its mounted on a round MDF base with a large block of wood glued and screw on to represent a bullet riddled piece of masonry- a large black coloured gas pipe runs up through the middle of it and slots into a hole cut in the bottom of the Marauder. I've yet to complete it but its now got a sprayed on grey paintjob and magnetised lascannon front turret and heavy bolter rear turrets, with a magnetised heavy bolter top turret in the build. Im pretty happy with how it turned out- i reasearched around 30 photos of the FW model, and looked around until i could find specs for wingspans and whatnot. After I found the wingspan, i calculated all the other dimensions from there using photos. The thing im most happy about is how i was able to get the 'wing-droop' to work- jsut ran a regular hacksaw blade about 90% of the way through the wing, and the gap the blade made allowed it to bend down perfectly- i glued it in place and its rock solid.





New grey colour, during a 40,000 pt Apoc we did recently- you can see it up the back in the midst of a bombing run

Sick of being outgunned...

Got the top built with only a few bits left to do for the main structure itself. The gun mounting plates for the shoulders are pretty cool IMO, an internal plate mounted on the roof above the holes takes all the weight and they just lock in solid under gravity (like the gatling blaster).

The top half just needs the reactor on the back (a basic rectangle), the lower head shields, the head, which is in construction and the turbolasers.

Lower leg shields should be on in the next day or so, and i've gotta finish the Volcano cannon.

I'm hoping to just have a light flat grey type spray undercoat on him for the game on the 16th.

It looks really primitive back here.


For some perspective, the Warlord astride my 6x4 modular urban streets. Pretty massive!! Note- turbolasers are now on!!


Also- not pictured- The sides of the cooling towers are now glued on, and I'm going to glue in some small 'lips' on the insides. The top of the towers will be removable to allow me to store my Apocalypse 'Big Gun Dice', and other Titan-specific stuff in there as well. Also, I like making storage spaces lol.
