				<title>2K Nemesor and Lychguard Necrons... can it handle GKs?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I am trying to put together a Necron list that has Nemesor and Lychguard while still being semi-competitive (can hold its own at the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(238);'>RTT</span> level).  Here is an idea of what I am thinking:<br /> <br /> Nemesor<br /> Overlord with Warscythe and Phaeron<br /> Court with Lancetek (with Solar Pulse) and Lord with Warscythe and Res Orb<br /> Court with 5 Lanceteks<br /> Immortals (Tesla) x5<br /> Immortals (Tesla) x5<br /> Immortals (Tesla) x5<br /> Warriors x5 with Ghost Ark (2 Lanceteks go here with 1 Pulse)<br /> Warriors x15 with attached Lord with Warscythe and Res Orb with Ghost Ark (Hijacked by 4 Lanceteks)<br /> Lychguard with Shield x5<br /> Scarabs x10<br /> Annihilation Barge<br /> Annihilation Barge<br /> Annihilation Barge<br /> <br /> The idea is a bunch of footsloggers supported by a few AV13 gun platforms.  I went with one large group of Lanceteks so they could use a Ghost Ark as an open-topped gunboat and possibly benefit from Tank Hunters.  Also, having a large group of Lanceteks can help kill Pally blobs even if they are supported by Draigo (see below).  The two Ghost Arks would try to keep the Phaeron blob at full strength with Nemesor and the Lychguard providing backup to help bail them out of combat.  I have another Barge, some additional warriors, two boxes of Immortals, and another box of Lychguard.  I can buy a few of the Wave 2 boxes, but would like to work with what I have. 				<description><![CDATA[ Not sure that 2 anni barges, 20 Immortals and 10 warriors counts as not enough shooty.  Given the number of immortals, maybe add some Tesla to get the extra hits?  I assume the anni barges are tesla?<br /> <br /> So the veiltek and Nemesor go with the Lychguard, the warriors plus a lancetek from each court (ie 2 lanceteks per ark) each in Ghost arks?<br /> <br /> If you want more shooty, maybe dump the spyders and add a Stalker instead.<br /> <br /> You might need to test the list - if <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(482);'>AT</span> focusses on barges and arks (it will be dark in T1 for them obviously) you'll be left with a foot army with the main mobility coming from the Immortals. 				<description><![CDATA[ You know, since Zahndrekh is your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> you could add in Obyron. He gains extra attacks when opponents miss hitting him, and has strength 7 power weapon that could be bumped up to 8 and instant killing terminators if Nemesor grants Obyron's squad furious charge. You also need to add in more Lords with Resurrection Orbs for keeping your troops around enough; you don't have to upgrade them with anything else and just bring in lords at 65 points (if I recall correctly).]]></description>

Everything will be tesla except for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(547);'>CCB</span> as the Gauss shots might be useful in hitting a vehicle when the Overlords pops out to go wail on something.  <br /> <br /> I really do need to get some test games in with Necrons to find out what is a good balance between shooting and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> for them.  With the exception of Lances and Heavy Destroyers, they do not have a lot of ranged anti-AV12 shooting.  This list only has four lances that can reliably hurt AV12-13 and has to hope for great rolls with the Annihilation Barges just to hurt AV11-12 (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span>- ftl).  I just see any Mech <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span>, Mech Eldar, AV13 Spam Necrons, Stormraven rush, or <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> rush list being very tough to handle.  The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(547);'>CCB</span>, Scarabs, and Spyders are going to do a lot of heavy lifting in those cases.  That and I have been playing Marines for so long that it will really take some getting used to not having a lot of troop mobility.  <br /> <br /> One thing I am considering is to drop the Overlord's Weave and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(626);'>MSS</span>, the Spyder with Claw, two Scarab bases, and two Immortals to pick up a Stalker.  That would provide another AV13 vehicle and some more shooting that can threaten AV12+ and can help the rest of my shooting hit the mark.  I sacrifice some <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> ability and two troop bodies, but I think it would still be a fair trade.  Another option would be to still drop the Overlord's Weave and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(626);'>MSS</span>, a Scarab, and the Spyder, plus dropping the Veiltek to get Obyron and make the Lychguard more of a threat.  It still doesn't solve the shooting problem, though.  ]]></description>

Dice hate me so lanceteks tend to flop on a regular basis.<br /> <br /> As you said you'll need to try it.  I'd rather have the scarabs than the Stalker but that is because I don't have a stalker and haven't seen what it can do. You take two royal courts and in each one there needs to be a fully kitted harbinger of Eternity (with both Chronometron and Timesplinter Cloak). All your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> and the two harbingers of eternity join your Lychguard. You can now actively deep strike them with the Veil on Obyron (which can also be used while engaged in combat). Give the unit furious charge or counter attack with Nemesor. Also you have 3 special characters in this unit with a 2 up armor and all but Obyron have an invulnerable save (4 of which have a 3 plus) you can also re-roll 2 of the failed saves a turn with the crypteks or a reanimation protocol should you choose and Nemesor has a Resurrection Orb making that Reanimation roll a 4+.<br /> <br /> Let me know what you think?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Skoffs you helped me with my original necron list and after a few games i played a guy with this list and lets just say i had my shine metal noobs ass handed back to me!!<br /> <br /> I took his list and with a few proxy models played in a mini tournement last weeked and what can i say i kicked ass.<br /> <br /> Re Imotekh i can seize the initiative on a 4+ but the main thing is night time rules this allows my troops to stay protected but allows my scarabs to get across most of the board normally un touched as people are focusing on the urber unit of metal kick ass coming theirr way seemily immortal. <br /> <br /> Now the batte barges yes they work well but i have found dropping one make some changed in the troop section and adding 3 spyders to add scarabs again imotekh can provide much need night time cover for the farm to grow before the harvest!!<br /> <br /> This is just what i have now moved on from but it was originally you who helped me kick ass with my first list, so thank you for that]]></description>

Lychguard are going to be fairly tough to put down thanks to T5, 3+/4++, and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(293);'>RP</span>.  The two Spyders are even worse because of multiple wounds, T6, and probably Stealth.  They are also going to be acting as a mini scarab farm and hopefully keep my opponent honest with his parking lot.  In addition to those, I have four AV13ish vehicles bebopping around that cannot be ignored.  I'm still not "happy" with it, though.  I just can't quite get my head wrapped around this codex...]]></description>

Small suggestion would be to change the gauss immortals to tesla.<br /> <br /> Also I agree don't walk the lychguard. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(71);'>imho</span> if you are doing that you need to get wraiths instead - they are cheaper points wise, quicker and more effective.<br /> <br /> With lychguard deathstar in my experience you need to play aggressively to get the points back.  hence, need a veil.<br /> <br /> Personal opinion is that any lord with a scythe without <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(626);'>MSS</span> is a wasted opportunity.  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(626);'>MSS</span> is cheap, effective (mostly!) and really annoys the opponent <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0"> <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0">  Why wouldn't you?<br /> <br /> ]]></description>
