I am planning to include 4 Battlewagons in my starting list, and I have 5 half-done tanks to choose from:

This is the Rollawagon. It needs the most work to finish. I started this baby as soon as the current Ork codex came out but it has sat largely untouched since then.



Spoiler:

This is the Rhinowagon (on account of being based on a Mk1 Rhino chassis). At one time it was intended to become a Big Trakk, hence the giant skorcha turret. This will obviously need to be replaced, but apart from that, the modelling work is pretty far along.

This is the Klawwagon, for reasons that should be obvious. Built from the GW kit with the usual extra inch of length and width added. This one also needs a new turret to replace the rather suboptimal zzap gun.

This is the Stormwagon (based on the Stormlord's superstructure piece). It is my newest project, rather raw but coming along nicely. The supa kannon will just stand in for a basic killkannon in games against whiny who don't like Forgeworld.

And last but hopefully not least, the looted Dakkalith. This one is already basecoated but needs some fixing due to a... fumble... during airbrushing.



I'd like to finish the modelling work on at least one wagon this week. I just finished the second airbrusing session on it. It probably doesn't show, but I got a much better yellow this time by spraying a layer of white first. The insert is slightly more accurate at showing the actual colour, at least on my screen.

For tomorrow I'm thinking a drybrush to highlight the panels, then varnish to protect the precious, non-repairable yellow. So far I've mostly been doing the brown. Also been fooling around a bit with Vallejo pigments but haven't quite figured them out yet.

I've switched to a different camera, this one isn't as sharp but picks up the yellow better.

I also used pigments to make the yellow a bit uneven. Annoyingly, the pigment that's a really nice ochre while in the container turns skin pink when applied on yellow. Die in a fire, Vallejo.

It has an auto-loader, so I could dispense with the rear platforms. Save the supa kannon for something else.

I also have a rough idea for my next wagon and a kopta.

I like the stompa gun, I think it looks like it could do with some struts or something so it looks less like its an arm on the back of the wagon - or maybe you want it like that? Yes, the deff rolla does lift out of the way along with the assault ramp. Doesn't leave much head room, but it's better than climbing over it! Man, this pic did not come out well. Anyway, I made a turret hardpoint above the rolla, added boarding planks and hardpoints for the grot sponsons from the Dakkalith.
