				<description><![CDATA[ Hi Dakka,<br /> <br /> So there I was, gently perusing dakka, when a couple of comments caught my eye.  <br /> <br /> "People see Imotekh and will reserve their whole army to avoid the lightning" then Skoffs put together an Axis Alpha strike list.<br /> <br /> But, I thinks to myself, there is no point having an alpha strike if the opponent is not on the table.  And, if you don't know where they are coming on, how do you deploy your forces? Deathmarks and Wraiths wait in reserve.  T1, doomsday arks with warrior screens move to firing points.  Scarabs move to cover in centre of board somewhere.<br /> <br /> In the turn when the bulk of their army arrives there will be some shooting, hoping that the scarabs survive.  Doomsday arks will survive because it is still night fight, pulses will ensure even if storm ends.  Opponent assumes that their time has come, positions to assault.  Then....Boom.  <br /> <br /> Deathmarks come in, Doomsday arks open up, Zahn and Imotekh take warrior squads into their lines and use shroud to try and get units to fail morale, Imotech uses Staff of destroyer.  Scarabs attack.<br /> <br /> Wraiths come in on opponents next turn thanks to phased reinforcements  to clean up anything left.<br /> <br /> So, thats the idea, but the problem is I don't think the above list can do it.  I think a swap to Doom Scythes is required, but I'm worried about what happens once they die.  The deathmarks I like, but unless they actually kill/pin the entire unit they are shooting at, I'm in all sorts of assault hell.  <br /> <br /> How should I change this to get the effect I'm looking for?  Basically I want to be able to wait until the opponent is mostly on, then kill them in one huge turn of shooting/assault, then clean up anything left the turn after.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ i dont really play necrons but i can see if i can help (everything is in option)<br /> <br /> imoetek is amazeing i had to learn night fight rules (again) because of him (because i never fight nf) <br /> <br /> for cort of depressing crypteks the staff + that 2+ wound special rule that death masks have is hislereous not only do they have to make a leadership check they also will die from 2+ <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>ap</span> 1 bwhahaa but useing it for just leadership check is fine but i would keep deathmasks in the back where they cant get shot at when you see a spot to attack jump in and shoot them and hope that you can surrive<br /> <br /> with lanctecks i would just use the solar pulse to make it nightfight FOREVER!!!  and i would put 2 warriros make them 8 and put them in a ghost ark so this way you can speed around shoot 2 las cannons and 8+5 guss shots and still zoom around or just keep it next to your other wariors and use it as a support ship so when you loose 1 guess what the ghost ark repaired them and they got back up <br /> <br /> why have 1 chroteck when you can have 2 to reroll the reroll<br /> <br /> zahndrekh without obyron? what herasy is this?<br /> <br /> i would put the 2 5 man into 1 10 man and have all your guys into 1 squad :3 (1 less kill point witch there are alot of)<br /> <br /> the wraths make them all have a whip and pistol so you get the +1 attack and shoot and lower them down to i 1  (but keep in mind this will probably be the most expensive)<br /> <br /> the scarabs are to many for such a week unit that can do so much i would flank them but only have 1 units because they are a little to expensve <br /> <br /> if your going to trap and surround them is the doom ark your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>lr</span> shooting? scince its night fight you will only have a 36 inch max if your lucky i would have doom scythes reason being same points for closer much deadlyer attack and extra shooting and to get around the field much much faster  also scicne you want the eneamy to come to you (they kind of have to) set them so that they ARE 36 inches away and farther if they make it to less then that move flat out so that they either must attack you or turn and shoot at the death behind them (that will be some distence away) and if they focus on the scyths then your whole army is still 100% ok if they focus your army guess what  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(171);'>st</span> 10 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>ap</span> 1 line of death attacking your units and tesla killing infantry you may laugh evil now <br /> <br /> so thats what i would do and thanks to this im going to now try and see if i start necrons i would do this :3<br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 9px; line-height: normal;">Automatically Appended Next Post:</span><br /> sorry for spell errors ]]></description>

Why couldn't Zahndrek have the Phaeron (and be scoring!!)??  Or Imotekh a war scythe instead of the destroyer staff?? 				<description><![CDATA[ Good suggestion.<br /> <br /> I have to confess I'm beginning to think this won't work.  I'm going to play a couple games on the weekend. <br /> <br /> Basically, this should be a way to control the game.  <br /> 1)  Use Imotekh to "encourage" them to reserve everything.  <br /> 2)  Set up powerful stuff on the board waiting for them to come in<br /> 3)  They come in - probably in pieces in T2, more in T3.<br /> 4)  T2, use the stuff on the board to make life difficult.<br /> 5)  T3, let them move forward a bit to make space for some <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span>.<br /> 6)  T4, bring it all in , preferably in the opponent turn?, and shoot the hell out of them.<br /> 7)  T5, capture objectives.<br /> <br /> Problem is that phased reinforcements only work in the opponents turn, but that is the only way to ensure that everything comes in on the same turn. 				<description><![CDATA[ Ive found this list AMAZING to force people into reserving everything. <br /> <br /> These three are necessary for forcing all reserves:<br /> Imotekh<br /> Orikan (for temporal time snares)<br /> And a ctan with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(477);'>WW</span> and a 10 point whatever<br /> <br /> Total 620 points.<br /> The actual rest of the list i run with these guys is as follows<br /> <br /> 5 groups of 5 warriors, each in a night scythe<br /> 3 doom scythes.<br /> <br /> Total with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQs</span> is 1970<br /> <br /> This leaves 30 points open, so you could actually get anything in the ctans list except for tranny bolt.<br /> <br /> I think its hilarious to see your opponent go Haha! What a waste of points, i reserve every thing. You put your ctan on the board and fly all but 1 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> and 1 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(546);'>NS</span> 36 inches up the board. Avoid <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(458);'>DT</span> as much as possible, split your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DSs</span> up so they both cant be targeted at once. <br /> <br /> Turn 2 comes around, if you are going first, scoot the rest of the way up to the table edge to block it off, drop some of your warriors, making sure you give your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span>' and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(546);'>NS</span>' flatout covers again (so, drop the warriors off before you move, etc). If you rolled your reserved <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(546);'>NS</span> in, move them enough to give them flat out but dont completely run them across the board.<br /> <br /> If you are player turn 2b, hopefully you were able to box off some of your opponents table edge, to give your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span>' clear strafing room. Expect to lose one or two <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(546);'>NS</span> and maybe both <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> and the warriors if its a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(324);'>DoW</span>. If your opponent doesnt get lucky rolling his reserves in, he'll get only a few shots from the units hes carrying. Thats about 1600 points, with 400ish to play with to do the same thing. 2 ghost arks with 5 teks would be ideal, but Orikan doesnt let you buy it :(]]></description>
