				<description><![CDATA[ Hey fellas,<br /> <br /> I've been putting together my nids over the past month and have had a few games in (winning 75% of the time).<br /> <br /> Just hoping to get your thoughts on the list below - I have not been using the same list over and over. Where you have comments or thoughts please elaborate as I'm keen to get some thoughtful discussion:<br /> <br /> FLYRANT - 280pts<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> Devourer<br /> Adren Glands<br /> Hive Comd<br /> Leech Es and Paroxym<br /> <br />  2 x Harpies - 170pts each<br /> Heavy Venom Cannon<br /> Cluster Spines<br /> <br /> 10 x Gargoyles - 60pts<br /> <br /> 25 Hormagaunts - 200pts<br /> Adren Glands<br /> <br /> 19 Termigaunts - 135pts<br /> Mycetic Spore<br /> <br /> 20 Termigaunts - 240pts<br /> Devourers<br /> Mycetic Spore<br /> <br /> 5 x Warriors - 250pts<br /> all w/ boneswords<br /> 1 x Barbed Strangler<br /> <br /> Two Options:<br /> <br /> 10 x Ymgarl Genestealers - 130pts<br /> <br /> OR<br /> <br /> 9 x Genestealers + 1 x Broodlord - 131pts<br /> adren glands<br /> Acid Blood on lord<br /> <br /> _____________________________________________________<br /> <br /> Few different tactics depending on the deployment set-up and who goes first.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Dev</span> Gaunts to take on static infantry<br /> Norm Gaunts for objectives<br /> Hormies to outflank and go for the throat<br /> Warriors for added synapse (I didn't want to but I'm struggling for options)<br /> Flyrant, Harpies and Gargoyles are a brick giving each other cover saves. Either start on and pop transports or hold off.<br /> <br /> Unsure on which stealer list to bring. Ymgarl give me some stability in that I know where they will come on from, but the stealers can hold objectives and the brood lord aien't no pansie.<br /> <br /> Thoughts with some substance very much welcome.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Man, if I could get ymgarl and stealers at that price it's all I'd run =P  I think you meant 230 points there.<br /> <br /> As tempting as Ymgarl are, I'd take the regular stealers, but with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(130);'>TS</span> instead of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(160);'>AG</span>, so they can reroll failed wounds and get more rends in there.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ ha you are right it should be 230/231 for the stealers. I think I have enough anti-ing, so toxin sacs might not help me against vehs... But I will play a few games either way and see what happens.<br /> <br /> Grim - I play anything, the idea is to build a list for a tourni and therefore anything could be expected. I've seen three raiders in one list, mech guard 13 AV12 vehs.  Essentially my local gaming meta is well funded, so the lists are pretty strong and change alot. I do fly away for games in other regions and therefore I can't say what I can expect.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ The BIGGEST concern;  You have no ranged Anti-Tank.  The harpies dont really count.  This will be bad.  I just don't see how this list can win against mech.  Though, in all honesty, I'm no good with the nid dex.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Played the list twice today. Both games against mech guard (he came second at the last tourn). - He had some 13 AV12 vehs on the table (could of been 14).<br /> <br /> I tabled him first game and just scraped though holding an objective and contesting another (he held the third).<br /> <br /> Honestly ranged firepower doesn't seem to be an issue. The Harpies do a great job of stopping shaking/stunning stuff and really thats all I need until I get them into combat. The stealers and hormies are wicked outflanking. I'm pretty happy with the list v mech guard. Will try it out against some other lists on Tuesday.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ How did you destroy that many vehicles, AND to pull of a whipe out? He should have shot you to pieces, unless you're some kind of mastermind! You have the Hive Tyrant which could take out a vehicle if he's lucky, also the Genestealers and Warriors could destroy some, but you need some lucky rolls there.. Seriously, how did you do that?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I might be able to sit down with him tomorrow night and do a bat rep.<br /> <br /> First game:<br /> <br /> He went first, deployed. I put nothing on table.<br /> <br /> Turn two I came in (I think 1 x harpie and Ygmarl didn't come in).<br /> <br /> Deepstriked harpie and flyrant with gagoyles on one flank near vendettas. Harpie got a wrecked result fm shooting. Tyrant got a shaken on other.<br /> <br /> Stealers and hormies came in on his car park (we played spearhead) and multicharged the hell outta him. Alot of stunned/weapon destroyed results. Warriors near by with termis.<br /> <br /> Following turn he did some mega barrage damage from mantigores. I responded with ygmarl poping out in middle of table and multicharging his remaining chimeras (3). They all got shaken and imbol/wpn destroyed.<br /> <br /> It was a case of just glancing the hell out of him. etc etc.<br /> <br /> But i'll get something formal written up.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Surprised you are making 2 harpy's work. 10 gargoyles is not big enough to get cover save on them and the flyrant and you're then opening them up to their T5 and 4+ armour save.<br /> <br /> A mech guard should have had no trouble tabling you to be honest and a better player may make you lack of ranged <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> count. I would, rather than ymgarls, look to fill those elite slots with hive guard.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Hmm....I don't think that "He must have been a horrible commander and that's why you won" is totally fair.  Sometimes it comes down to rolls.  Sounds like he's(the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(280);'>OP</span>) playing smart, knows what he's doing, and knows what his list is capable of.  With as much mech as that, I'd agree that you're better off with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(160);'>AG</span>.  Like he said, tabled <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> the first game and barely held a draw the second.  It's possible that the first game went the way it did because the guard player underestimated his list, and adapted to it the second game, but without being there we don't know.  Either way, well played!]]></description>
