Blood Angel VS Orks

My friend has a Ork Army who keeps beating me and all of my friends.
So I am trying to think of a good Blood Angels list that is 1500 points that is good against a Ork Speed Freak Army (a.k.a Trukks, Boyz, Looted Wagon, Stormboyz and a Battle Wagon)

I would like to hear a good list that would help me.

Thank You and Happy War Gaming!

Blood Angel VS Orks

Well, the strength of his list is speed. He doesn't have much shooting power, and he has limited combat power with the 12-man boys squads in the trukks. Does the battlewagon run with a deffrolla?

To counter his speed, I'd suggest going all jump infantry. This has the added advantage of being much more resilient in combat than a Razorspam list (not to mention you don't care as much when you get run over by a deffrolla).

12-man units of ork boys will just bounce off 10-man units of assault marines with Feel No Pain. Even a unit of 20 orks (in the battlewagon) or a unit of nobs will struggle to take them down without crippling casualties.

Here's an example:

Mephiston
Reclusiarch with jump pack
2 Sanguinary Priests with jump packs
10 Assault Marines with 2 meltaguns, 1 power fist
10 Assault Marines with 2 meltaguns, 1 power fist
10 Assault Marines with 2 meltaguns, 1 power fist
10 Assault Marines with 2 meltaguns, 1 power fist

Mephiston's a beast, and can use Wings of Sanguinius to keep up. The orks don't have any long-range shooting that he needs to worry about, so you don't really need to hide him beyond a cover save. The Priests give everyone Feel No Pain (keep your army together, don't spread out), and the Assault Marines can punch orks to death all day long without breaking a sweat. You've got plenty of scoring, the option to reserve your whole army and drop on your opponent's back line, meltaguns to basically guarantee the death of his open-topped transports, and the speed to chase him down. Give it a go, see what you think.

It really depends on what he does with them, but in general, just fly in and shoot them with meltaguns. If you're shooting trukks, you don't even need to worry about getting within the 6" range for the extra dice - you only need a 2 to glance and a 3+ to pen at 12", which means you can shoot up trukks anywhere within 24" of your squads once you factor in your jump pack movement. Remember also that you get +1 on the vehicle damage table for AP1 and another +1 for open-topped, so if you get a penetrating hit you will destroy the vehicle on a 3+.

The same thing applies to the battlewagon, although you'll probably want to be within 6" to get through the front armour 14. If you don't manage to blow it up (remember, +2 on the damage table) then you will probably get assaulted by whatever's inside - that's okay, just make sure that you have something else nearby that will be able to assist in your next turn (Mephiston is really good at this).

Once you've blown up the vehicle, if the squad inside ends up close enough for you to charge, you will just murder them - with 3 attacks each at S5 I5 your basic assault marines can kill plenty, and you only really need to worry about the power klaws striking back. Charge with multiple squads if you can - overkill is your friend, because it will kill the nobs with klaws before they get to strike.

The basic points are:
Keep the army reasonably close together - close enough that they're all within the Priests' bubbles of FnP, basically. This means they're also close enough to support each other.
Your army is about as fast as his, so don't be afraid to make them come to where you want them.
Your maximum threat range is 24" - this is a good range for blowing up trukks and dumping their contents onto the field.
Your ideal threat range is 18" - if anything gets this close, especially the battlewagon, pounce on it, shoot it with a bunch of meltaguns, blow it up, charge the squad inside, and mash everything to bits. Don't be too afraid to do this - if all his orks charge all your marines, it will be a tough fight but you will probably win. If they only charge part of your army you will probably lose that squad, so make sure the rest of your force will be in range to charge in and smash him up next turn.

Basically, I would suggest giving it a try and seeing for yourself how it works. It might take a few games to get the hang of the army's threat range, since it's quite short. Me telling you things is never going to be a substitute for actually seeing them play out on the table.
