Bad Moonz 1500pt SUPER DAKKA!! list

i have been trying to make a decent 1500pt list for my bad moonz but it seems the type of units that they prefer are only really good at 2000+ pt battles, but for the time bein im just tryin to make a o.k. list at 1500pts till i get some more money 2 make it my apocalypse army

My tactic is to have the BW's slowly movin up and firing whill the shoota boyz follow up and protect there rear. the mek and lootas will lay down constint fire support and slowly move the weirdboy and gitz up and hopefully get a 5 to deep strike behind the enemy and cause some havoc and to c the face when a squad of gitz appear behind them

Actually his is more dakka-y then this one as battlewagons have the most dakka second only to flash gitz. Dropping the warphead for more lootas would help for more dakka but his is still superior for dakka, yours is more death skull

OP, To make this more competitive drop the warphead for a kff mek, drop the big shootas on the battlewagons and the grots for deffrollas. To be able to go in the wagon you need to lose 8 boys from each squad, use that to make something ard boys. Other then that this could be a fun fluffy list to maybe win a couple games, for fluff your about spot on so, I think this is great.

I was wanting to try out the strategy at the bottom of my OP but im kinda liking the idea of smaller squads but ard and able to fit in the wagons but im still kinda leaning towards what i hade planned cause there more like tanks than transports and if im slowly movin my BW's and firing than my boyz should be able to keep up and use them for cover right? i have only done a few battles so im still a bit of a noob but any other input would help cause i just wannna make sure i dont get powned with this list and i hear everyone saying that those type of units that i have in my list are awesome in apocalypse battles and is that true?

By KC you mean killkannon? Im not sure what upgrade is KC. I dont know why you putting ard case on the wagons TBH. Are you using them as transports for something? If so, your wasting you time putting ard case on, as it limits how many shots the unit inside can put out. IMO over 200pts for a battlewagon is definitely doing it wrong. They are 90pts bone stock, so the standard rolla, which isnt here for some reason, again, would only make then 110pts.....so why waste 80 more points per? Thats another unit of lootas, or halfish a mob of more boyz. I mean, at 1500pts you only got 40 boyz, thats not enough by a long shot, youll want AT LEAST 60 in 1500pts, and even then it can be sketchy depending on how the rest your list looks. And Im with Boris, THATS more of a badmoonz build, with all the shootas and big expensive boomgun wagons.

I feel like Im posting the same advice in every list thread you make, and you continue to ask for more advice, when you clearly dont take it. BW should be cheap and loaded with deffrollas. The only time its OK to not take a rolla, is if your wagon is a gun platform, which is 4 bigshootas and a kannon. NOT A KILL KANNON.

Thanks KingCracker. Bad Moonz are all about expensive shooty stuff, Lootas =/= Deathskulls. Bad Moonz use Deffgunz too and "think it's a great wheeze to cut down the enemy" with guns before other orks can assault. Bad Moon Deffgunz are gold plated as per the fluff. BW's are more meant to get you in CC faster. Deffrollas are a must if you do use them. Bad Moons would rather kick back and keep their warty hides and snazzy gear away from any assault. As for your balance of firepower aspect, do you want weaker firepower? KC < Boomguns...

Also, since when did Bad Moons use Wierdboyz? If you want a fluff argument then keep your Wierdboyz with Snakebites and Badrukk with Freebooters/Deffwing. Replace the Warphead with a Big Mek and KFF and your in good shape along with KingCrackers advice. I too would bump up the # of boyz a bit for a competitive list.

KC=killcannon yes, and everyone says the KC is good especially when facing other ork armys or others that just have a lot of infantry, and im just following a build i have seen on some forums on other sites that people seem 2 use and the always seem to do good, even though they got they same type units, they usually have 2000+ plus points and i will eventually get to that many just dont got the money right now and they use BW's as tanks pretty much and why not ard? it makes them have to roll one more higher? and Boris is bs thats deathskullz all the way and i already have a list almost just like that for my blood axes that are almost done, im making realistic armys that will do OK, im not goin for %100 effective, Bad Moonz=flash gitz and tricked out BW's so i dont c how Boris is even close to a Bad Moonz army, it just seems like everyone that gives me advice gives me something completely different that someone else so i just came to the conclusion that different stuff works for different people thats why im have a army for every clan thats completely different from each othe and REALISTIC to that clan.

I don't know why your posting on Dakka because it's obvious the only time your wasting is ours. You say to each his own, so why are you posting your list? If you don't want a critique and advice then don't bother posting here. You said my list is similar to a Blood Axe list your making? How does that make sense? I'm going by fluff via the codex. Your also posting your list in a forum where people WANT a competitive list, not just an OK one. If you think rams > Deffrollas, Ard cases are a good option or even somewhat sensical and that flash gitz with tons of upgrades are even close to borderline fun then you my friend might wanna start another army. now than im done with that, King Cracker! i finally found that ordance rule in the rule book and now i know why you dont like KC, i never knew if you shot that you cant shoot anything else so that should free up some points for deffrollas but i still need talkin out of ard cause i wanna make them tank like and from what i have read about ard i just seems really good but i can c why you like not cuase than i can put my 20 boy squads in the back and have them firing but if i plan on not using them as transports is it still bad 2 take ard?

Well ard cases are great if you don't use it as a transport, but why would you not, There are only positives. Goatboy, a well known 40k blogger, always takes ard cases and does well with them, but I don't know why. And btw lighten up on borris theres no reason to be a jerk to someone you'll probably never meet. Its just annoying and there is no reason for it.

k good stuff, and sorry i understand where your coming from and im normally a very humble person (especially from gettin my ass kicked every other day by pro fighters lol ) but i just got a pet peave about people that put there 2 sence in when they dont know what there fully talkin about or answering a completly different question than the one i was tryin 2 ask, its like in real life when some punk who watches a couple ufc fights or gottin in 2 a couple street fights who thinks hes a badazz and trys to talk to me about fightin and about do's and donts and it pisses me off cause i have trained almost my whole life one form or another of martial arts and the past 2 years in MMA and BJJ, and i just cant look past crap like that, im very humble but there is just those couple things that make me go off (hittin women, juggalos, thugs, gangsters, racist, and people who talk about stuff they dont know) but im done with him now and made my point so you dont gotta worry about me gettin on him anymore and if he says somethin else i will just ignore him, and thanks 4 bein neutral, i always got made respect for people like you that just try 2 make everyone get along, every groop of people need atleast one or bad gak will happen lol but thanks yo

Well I do believe this list can get a bit more Dakka-y and still feel like a Bad Moons army.

I don't really like Weird boy, they can be fun from time to time I guess. Not very good other times though. I get the SAG. I would add another Mek with KFF to help support the rest of your Army. I love Falsh gitz. Its a shame they are Heavies. Would be cool if they were an elite option. Where you planning on putting them in one of the BW's? What do you mean hopefully get 5 behind enemy lines? You have 8 in the squad. They would be better of just riding in a BW. And shooting while they are inside. Of course you would want to drop the Ard Case, as this hursts them more then it helps them. I really wouldn't worry about Badrukk either, he really doesn't help your squad one bit. You could fill the squad out to ten if you didn't take him. Lootas are not for just Dethskulls, they are used by every one. With the Badmoon being the rishest, they could afford to buy or build more right? So I think you would be better off taking another squad. The Shootas are great, love them. I would give one of those Bshootas to the Nob though. I can understand taking the eavy armor on the nob, it is Badmoon esc. But its really a waste of points, IMHO. I don't like you attaching the SAg to the lootas either. i feel the SAg is a better weapon dealing with infantry then dealig with vehicles. I am not a fan of them, but for this they work perfectly. A group of grots are Awesome for the SAG. It gives the Mek alot of wounds and gives him alot of protection. Not to mention the are troops so can hold objectives.

Its more of a Green tide that shoots. The SAG goes with the Bigguns as they are artillery and can choose different targets then the SAG. Gives you 2 different squads of gits to cover more area na d fire at more targets.

Anyways this is what I came up with. Feel free to do with it whatever you will. I only built the list to show you another side to your idea.

Really like your ideas yo, thanks, i mite make that list its just that im so tempted put in some BW's cause i got a build for each clan and i got no BW's but would you by any chance have list like this one with some BW's ? and im total doin the mek with SAG with grots thats a perfect idea that i never thought of but that list does look bomb though and tempting

The main reason I didn't put the BW's in there is you are trying to do to much. Its hard to get BW's plus gitz as they are both Heavies.

This is honestly the best Idea i have. I can't see you being able to add BW's to a list with Gitz. Thats the biggest drawback about Gitz.

I really dislike the Weirdboy to be honest. I don't think he really offers anything to an army. His randomness is to much to reallly have a good place for him. If you were to tport him around, you are seperating him from your army, which is a bad thing. Orks like to stick together to protect one another. This just gets him and the squad he is with to be killed easier. With liitte to no real damage output. Especially when it is a 3rd of your army. No thanks!

My plan is to stay in Wagons with boys. Shooting everything, opening up vehicles with Rollas and Planks. Trakks provide cover both with shooting and assaults. Kopta hopefully gets a kill first turn.

Thats my plan, it worked pretty good the one time I played it to try it out.

I do have another list with T-L Shoota Nobs instead of the Manz. I just like the Manz, they are so cool looking.

But please find out what works for you. I am not an overly competitive person. I love winning but I alos love to have fun with the Orks. They are I think one of the better as a whole codexes.

The, "dex" says nothing about what each clan exactly used, so I do not see what your point is with all this. And all this hate over a list trying to follow typical bad moonz fashion is, well, ridiculous.
Borris- I see where you are going with the boomguns, but if the guy does not want boomwagons, do not force it on him. Personally, I have found that Battlewagons are very Blood Axey too, as they are similar to the LR.
MMA-The first list is fine, just the KFF will get you farther than the wierdboy. The best BigMek around was a BadMoon! The list is fluffy as far as generic Bad Moonz Units and should hold its own in battle.

Personally, it is all how you model the things. I model Leman Russes as Battlewagons for Blood Axe, and then will take Flash Gitz and turn them into a Special Ops mob for Bloodaxe aswell. Both of which are not "Fluffy".

I have never use them. It takes away so much of what the wagon is good for. That is transporting your boys. Besides it will proabably not hit where you need it to anyways.

YES! for the 10 millionth time, they are a waste of points and only get your BW blown up. You want something like a killkannon, then pay 10 more points on a boomgun. For that 10 points you get +14 inches in range, +1 STR. Sounds good to me, not to mention its on a cheaper platform, and being lighter on points in Orks, means A gak LOAD MORE BOYZ! You keep missing the part where Oorks need a boat load of boyz. Taking only 40 at 1500 is just.....dumb.

No one will tell you the killkannon is good, no one. So your statement previously, Im not buying, youll have to find a link or something to prove that people out there think its good.

And Ard case on a BW is just not smart either. It ruins EVERY GOOD THING the open topped rules HAVE! ONLY put ard case on a boomgun wagon, thats it.

Trust me, youll notice a HUGE difference in how they perform that way. Im a fan of trying out different units and such, but sometimes you just dont change units up. Kindda like, you ALWAYS take PK on nobz in boyz mobz

ya i always take PK's now except on my blood axes build, mite change it up but it would mess up my points bad but i have heard i would do good with that list cause of all the rokkits but ya do you got any deffwings armies or know some tips and tricks to them cause i got that its mainly just BW's and meganobz but thats all, and im just startin 2 explore that type of army
