				<description><![CDATA[ I honestly don't like either to much.  the burnas are nice in a wagon list, but are a hugh target.  The kommandos really don't do enough for me.  And to put Ghaz with them is not a good idea.  I don't like holdling a 225 pts model in reserve to maybe come in when I need him.  <br /> <br /> I like lootas same cost as both of those units but far more superior in my eyes. I use 30 on them in my kan wall list.  I have never looked back. <br /> ]]></description>

That is a pretty good gun for anyone. Guard use them all the time.  We have units of them.  Sure you might roll that 1 shot each, but most of the time it should be at least 2 shots. 				<description><![CDATA[ I guess I would rather spend the points on something that is moving with my khan wall.  Would rather spend the points on more boyz.  I agree lootas are nice but not the best.  Most vehicles front armour 12 or higher, which the lootas are going to have a hard time hitting then stopping or even able to pen at all.  At my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(38);'>FLGS</span> no one runs rhinos so things with front armour 11 is not that common, only a few players play Dark Eldar so they just have not a lot for me.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I have no trouble with dealing with armor 13.  Thats the great thing as stunning the vehicle is more then enough for Orks.  They won't be shooting at you.  So you are free to move forward with your army.   <br /> <br /> Ok so your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(211);'>LGS</span> doesn't use rhinos.  Well then shoot at infantry.  The Lootas can do a pretty good job with them too.  Have you seen a squad of marines take 18 wounds and shrug them all off?  I haven't.  <br /> <br /> You really don't needd anymore Boys. They by the time you lose 20 models, the squad is going down anyway.<br /> * Snikrot over burnas.   Your burnas will get shot to bits.   Snikrot brings so much to the table.<br /> * Kan walls start to lose their effect over 1500 points.  At that point level there are enough psydreads to take em down.]]></description>

That will get you another 50 points to spend on boys and grotz, add another 15 if you lose the boss pole as well.]]></description>

A few years ago I ran an ork horde army and this is what I learned.<br /> <br /> * Your lootas are going to be the first things shot at.   Why shoot a 6 point ork when you can shoot a 15 point loota?   This means they don't get to kill much before they die.<br /> * Rokkits in squads are always best.   Sure, 3 rokkits will only score 1 hit, but that means you can destroy those rhinos at range, which is best.  <br /> * Moving all those models can take forever in games.   This can be a significant drawback.<br /> * Hoard orks are at their core, a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(316);'>KP</span> denial list.   Bringing 150+ models to the table in 5 squads means its literally impossible to get <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(316);'>KPs</span> off you.   You, on the other hand, only need a few <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(316);'>KPs</span> from them.   This means you have a <i>huge </i>advantage on most missions.<br /> * When you only have foot troops, the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span> mek does not bring as much as another warboss.   Just use your mek model and call him a warboss.   Your looking for the ability to wreck face.<br /> * Nobs, like lootas will be targeted and shot to bits.   <br /> <br /> As such, if I were to build a 1850 Ork green tide list, this is what I would bring. Just wondering why.<br /> <br /> Lastly, I disagree with the Lootas being the first to die. Yes, your opponent wants to kill them first as they are scary. But, they have a nice 48" range. So Lootas can reach out and touch someone. With greentide, you should have 100+ boys in between your Lootas and your opponent. So, if your opponent wants to kill your Lootas, he has to get in closer, which means closer to your boyz. It usually means that he has to choose between avoiding your boyz or killing your lootas. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I put a rokkit or big shoota with my nobz because if I have a shoota boy squad he can not take the shoota if he upgrades to get a power klaw so I give him the heavy assault weapon, plus if I am getting low on boyz I always try to save those weapons and my nob so why not get a 2 fer <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0"><br /> <br /> I do agree with labmouse though, my lootas are always the first to get shot, because people know to be scared of them, in my last tourney I always lost the loota squads but never once lost my big gunz squad, which actually shot better and packed a stronger punch because people did not know about them.  However, I still like running lootas because they attract firing away from the rest of my boyz, but with a kan wall, they have 2 big targets, the kans and the lootas...]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Weird, I have only lost my Lootas once and that was to an outflanking unit of Genestealers.  <br /> <br /> When I play the Kan wall there are boys and kans in front of my lootas.  Its hard to shot at them first.  You have to worry about all of that before you can worry about the lootas.  I do also run 15 man squads.  Bigger target you would think.  But still everyone ignores them.   The Kans are useally the first target for my enemy's.  <br /> <br /> That might be different in a green tide, not sure as I do not play that kind of army.  <br /> <br /> As far as the Nob getting the Special weapon its just better in the long run.  You don't get any bonus attack with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PK</span> so no loss there.  If he is leading a shoota squad then you have one more shoota to go with you squad.  Its really win, win <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(71);'>IMHO</span>.  ]]></description>

We do not have a lot of ork players here, including myself maybe 2-5 at a given time, which they still represent, however in a tourney I have never had to face against another ork list... When I play Eldar I usually do not either however I am usually the only Eldar player, though two tourneys ago we had 5 Eldar players including me, that tourney I played against another Eldar list similar to mine... sort of but that is a different topic.. He hasn't been there in months.<br /> A new guy that has Chaos.<br /> And Me, I have Orks, Chaos, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span>, Wolves, (own chapter though) Eldar, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GK</span>'s.  Had Tau but they bored me.<br /> Which reminds me the guy that bought my Tau.  Duh! He dables with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span>'s as well.<br /> <br /> A pretty good mix.  We all play for fluff and fun.  No real spamming armies at all.  The Guard are blob armies though.  ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Sounds pretty fun.  No one really plays for fun around here, mostly very competative stuff so get a lot of builds with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GK</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(124);'>SW</span> and marines that do the same thing.  Luckily not a lot of players for ork and Eldar, which are my 2 favorites.  I too have tau, but don't play them, I have space wolves and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GK</span>, but have not played them in 5th edition.  As lots of people play marines , I like to play the non-norm armies.  We have a few Dark Eldar Players, but it always seems to be the same builds, venom or vehicle spam and lots and lots of darklances]]></description>

				<title>1850 Ork List Foot For Tourney</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Yeah spamming is boring.  <br /> <br /> We had a guy with Dark eldar.  Forgot about him. I don't think he ever won a game.  He was bad, I mean very bad.  He useally lkost by turn 3 with nothing on the board.  Maybe a couple of immobilized raiders or something like that.  But still it was bad.  I killed a whole squad of hellions with the named guy on board with one vindie shot.  He kept them to close to each other.  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>lol</span>  Good times.<br /> <br /> My Ork kan wall is undefeated where I play normally.  I lost a couple games at  last years ard boys.  I alos lost to a player in Florida when I visited my firend.  He came in 14th at last years <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(48);'>GT</span>. 				<description><![CDATA[ What weapons would you use to kill lootas at range?   I would use scatter lasers in my Mech'dar army, riflemen dreads in my C:<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> bike army, or <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(328);'>MLs</span> in my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(124);'>SW</span> army. <br /> <br /> Do you notice a theme there?   These are also the same weapons you use to destroy Kans.   Therefore if your running a Kan wall, your lootas are, by default, protected because there is a bigger threat walking twords the enemy.   Unless they have enough <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>STR</span> 8 to clear all your kans by turn 2, your lootas should be fairly safe.   (5 psydreads comes to mind)<br /> <br /> Now, if your running a green tide list, and there are no kans, do you target that 6 point boy or the 15 point loota with your weapons?   In those lists, against a decent player, lootas will bubble up to the top of the threat priority list and get shot first.   I know I would, and I would expect anyone else to do the same.<br /> <br /> That's why if your going to run a green tide (ie, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(316);'>KP</span> denial) its a smart move to hide your anti-tank weapons in your boy squads.  Sure, 3 rokkits in a boy squad only hits once, but that helps.<br /> <br /> Now, with the flyers being added, you can reserve them and waaagh on the turn they come in.   I suspect that there will also be additional flyer rules that make them synergize better even with green tide lists.   As such, if you have a green tide army today, I would suggest looking at adding flyers to your army.    <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> is pushing flyers, and I bet they will be a big part of the 6th edition.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I agree I think they will be, my guess it will be harder for most things to hit flyers, which will help out the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> 10 on the Ork Flyers, for 5th ed I think they will be punked quite easily... Though they would take fire away from other units]]></description>
