I've gone for a mix of units that I enjoy modeling/painting/using as it doesn't need to be ultra competitive and keeping costs down.

Now I need to decide on last 170pts:

Another stalker? (Like the heat ray itself, not got much to twin link though)
More deathmarks? (Love these guys)
Another anni barge? (These get a lot of love but mine got shot down before it had chance, a second would help that I guess)
More scarabs? (Love these, have only 3 at the mo and they still ate a tank with ease after being ignored)
More warriors or destructek's or both?

So advice/help/suggestions welcome and greatly appreciated... Thanks

Did you consider not using Zahndrek? In your list I assume he is primarily for tank hunters? You could have a basic overlord in another CCB for the same points.

i've been finding Z has been more useful putting FC onto scarabs when throwing them against infantry - S8 from the Lanceteks seems to be ok anyway, particularly as you have multiple squads to shoot if you miss.

Cost for the models is worse here in Oz! I feel your pain.

Hi mark! I did yer, I thought against it really because 1) its another £20 :/; and 2) I wanted use a special character as its not competitive gaming I like the fluff of having a special character and he seemed the best fit for this list.

I'll probably end up caving and getting an extra one anyways though haha.

With regards to the immortals I am actually quite tempted by that... Will have to look into gauss vs tesla (thinking tesla atm) and whether two 5 man or one 10 man are better.... If I do go with immortals that is haha, only thing putting me off is the cost due to needing two boxes for them

Problem with this is I'd have to drop the doom scythe as the third heavy support and I really want to include one lol! I thought about adding one anni barge but then have an awkward 80 points left.

@Dave-c, I did enjoy how even just 3 scarabs can eat a tank, and know I probably need more, but unless I find some on eBay It's awkward to buy them without £20 for more warriors I don't need or £60 for the battleforce. Fair enough. If you just wanted to use the model, you could use it as a night scythe (use the spare points to convert a warrior squad to immortals (eternals)) and add a stormtek. That would give you eternals, 4 tesla destructors and the ability to move the eternals really fast if you wanted to!

Although I'm still thinking about more barges and scarabs lol....

With the immortals are one full strength squad or two units of 5 better? Obviously the unit of ten will benefit more from eternals... But less tactical mobility?

Also trying to decide whether to spend 140 on all the stuff I need, or 160 and have extra warriors and a doomsday ark left over from the battleforce. I need to get a box of warriors (8 warriors, 4 cryptek converts, scarabs), and a box of immortals (need two overall) for this list anyway... so is it worth the extra £20 to have those spare warriors/scarabs/ark?

I know it works out cheaper if I were to buy those but i dunno... Thoughts?

Having spare scarabs, warriors and an ark won't hurt. You'll also have deathmark backs and heads left (unless you build them and use warrior chests and legs to make the immortals - that works well) - more crypteks! I need a little bit more stuff - PM me if you like , I might take some of the spare stuff off you.

Depends on what you are going to use them for. tbh, a small unit of eternals doesn't seem to be worth it because the eternals buff of FC and CA is primarily a CC benefit. Not sure with I2 that attacking with a small number of eternals would work well. Maybe as a last ditch objective clearing/holding unit? Nah, 10 eternals is better.

5 immortals generally would have better survivability, and they have an S5 weapon. So, better than 5 warriors. I generally don't use them because the survivability and weapon buff doesn't get a lot of use (my warriors are essentially mini AT squads) and I'd rather have the 20 points for something else.

To be honest all the advice on here has been great so thanks, but I still have no idea which way I'm going to go haha! I think i'll get some bits for now and decide after another game or two. If next time I play the anni barge rips the opponent to shreds then I'll probably go for that. If I drop a solar pulse I can get

1 anni barge
1 unit of 5 immortals
