Bretonnian themed Vampire Counts army WIP

so i recently decided to start up a VC army for a builder campaign between me and a few mates, and this seemed a good place to start as i hadnt done VCs before. I generally dont like armies that have an overwhelming abundance of bone in them (it gets too boring too fast) so i decided to theme my army around the red duke (after reading the book) for a bretonnian feel to it. So here's what i got so far for my first 500 pts;

necromancer
<img http://s1062.photobucket.com/albums/t495/mr_vendetta07/?action=view&current=043.jpg" target="_blank">" border="0" />

corpse cart
<img http://s1062.photobucket.com/albums/t495/mr_vendetta07/?action=view&current=042.jpg" target="_blank">" border="0" />

skeleton banner
<img http://s1062.photobucket.com/albums/t495/mr_vendetta07/?action=view&current=039.jpg" target="_blank">" border="0" />

skeleton unit (front)
<img http://s1062.photobucket.com/albums/t495/mr_vendetta07/?action=view&current=038.jpg" target="_blank">" border="0" />

skeleton unit (side)
<img http://s1062.photobucket.com/albums/t495/mr_vendetta07/?action=view&current=037.jpg" target="_blank">" border="0" />

skeleton warrior (final colour scheme)
<img http://s1062.photobucket.com/albums/t495/mr_vendetta07/?action=view&current=044.jpg" target="_blank">" border="0" />

for the life of me i cannot work out how to make the images smaller so if anyone knows please tell me, but this is my army thus far so opinions and ideas are warmly welcomed

Re:Bretonnian themed Vampire Counts army WIP

Oh, this is off to a nice start man. The conversionwork instantly adds a lot of character to the army.

A suggestion for the shields might be to add a bit of weathering powder to them. The heraldry on the shields is nice, but it's a bit too vibrant imo for an undead army...

Really like those conversions. This looks like a start of a great looking army. Agreed though that the paint n stuff on the shields look a bit too fresh. Could use some wear n tear

Hmm I did have that thought, maybe by adding a bit of a watered down Devlan mud wash and some afore mentioned powders would help?

Re:Bretonnian themed Vampire Counts army WIP

Washes could work as well... But nothing quite beats powders for rust in my experience. Washes tend to suffer from water surface tension on flat surfaces to create a truely convincing look...
