				<description><![CDATA[ First of all-I love Apothecaries. And, being a marine player (with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(39);'>FW</span> goodies) I cannot get enough of them. I was quite happy when I found Shen, the Master Apothecary for the Salamanders. Just wondering of he is a legit <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> ( tournament alloud) and if anyone would suggest using him in a small army, around 1k? But apparently most places don't allow <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(39);'>FW</span> units, so you should just make sure you ask ahead of time and just hope.<br /> <br /> I don't know his rules, so I can't help with the 1k army usefulness of the character]]></description>

Even against shooting, one round of rapid fire bolters into his unit could spell the end for him.]]></description>

His other ability, re-rolling ones on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span> tests, is worth an extra 8.33% saved wounds.
